I have only read the first BA novel, and I was not overly impressed with it I wanted to be but it didn't happen . The BAs came across as weak and really quite un-interesting.

Re: Some books i had read.....
I´m just through the first of the BA books and i must say...
...that´s one of the worst reads ever. Some storyline connections are as clumsy as in the first UM novel. An Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor on good term with a SM chapter that is under suspicion of mutation and questionable rituals/behave. Sure! And he knows of their secrets (Red Thirst, Black Rage). What next?
And i don´t like Swallows writting style. It´s often too longbrething. One thing i already hated when i read Flight of the Eisenstein.
I don´t think that i will read the second and third novel of the BA novels.

I am inclined to agree with you Brother. I was really disapointed with the BA novels (I haven't read the third) I did however enjoy Flight of the Eisenstein.
There were so many points in the first novel where the BA's seemed really blah. I like the BAs and it was hard for me to even finish these books
I hope that maybe the HH line will cover the BAs and restore some of their lost coolness. It does seem as though GW is not as fond of the Chapter as they once were, what with the on-line codex, and their only part in the HH to date being, the discovery of their bodies impailed ontop of giant mushrooms on the planet Murder
I still have faith that the Chapter will be appropriatly represented at some point by GW, but that point is definatly not yet here.

Re: Some books i had read.....
I had just finished the novel Planetkill. That´s a collection of short stories. The last story is about a cadian tank unit that is called Gunheads. It was an enjoyable read. Now a novel with the same name is on preorder from the BL. I think it is a realy good book. It´s about The Gunheads, Commissar Yarrik and his Fortress of Arrogance. Damn, i can´t wait to read more about Sergeant Wolfe.
And i´m reading Scourge the Heretic. It´s very well written and also an enjoyable read so far. Ordo Xenos, Ordo Hereticus and the Deathwatch. Need to say more?

I just started reading Dark Disciple.
I enjoyed Dark Apostle, so I thought I would give this one a go.
So far it is not bad, We have dark Eldar, IG, Adeptus Mechanicus, and Word Bearers.
The beginning was interesting with Marduk being tortured (not included in the sample below). I wonder where that is going

I just finnished Scourge the Heretic and i must say it was an enjoyable read. Good storyline and You can read something about Stormtroopers!!! Now i´m waiting for the second novel Innocence proofs Nothing.
@Brother Constantine: There will be a third novel of the WB, Dark Creed.
I just looked through the Coming Soon section of the BL and i saw that a new BA novel is in the pipe ( shiver). The first three ended up to start my grill last weekend, that´s all they´re good for.

LOL!!!!
I agree that the BA novels are crap, but there is just something about burning books that isn't right to me.
Why is it that the people over at BL can't right a decent book about the Blood Angels!!? I think they are an awesome chapter with tonnes of personality, byt the books fall short every time

Re: Some books i had read.....
All the really good writers are busy with other novels.
Reynolds: Word Bearers
Abnett: Gaunt´s Ghosts and Prospero Burns
McNeill: Smurfs
Sandy Mitchell: Ordo Hereticus Novels
I think Reynolds should take care of the BA. I´m sure that he would do a good job as he did with the WB.
Normally i would agree with you about burning books, but the BA novels have a negative, daemonic aura and it was necessary to call in one of our Brothers with an Incinerator to prevent the evil from spreading around.

I just finished Heroes of the Space Marines. It´s a collection of short stories and there by teasers for coming novel series. Most of the stories had been very enjoyable reads. We can expect very good series for the Imperial Fists, the Deathwatch, Salamanders, Crimson Fists and the Night Lords. I´m not sure if there will be a serie for the BT but the their short story was very good and it would be a shame if there would be no novels for them.

Still reading through Heroes of the Space Marines. Picked up Fallen Angels and The Killing Ground in Fremantle (paid too much though ) so those are next.
So, Brother DB and Brother C, you both liked Dark Apostle? I'm thinking of picking it up. Haven't really read much on the Chaos Marines...

Ordered both DA and DD through amazon.com. Calculating the time it would take to transit real space and warp space, I should get it, oh, within 3-4 weeks

That's wierd, usually the warp cooporates with the forces of chaos. Perhaps the shrouding surrounding your vessel is interfereing with the Daemonic postal services' scanners

When I need to deal with chaos texts I head down to my local GWS and put the fear of the emporer into the servitors there, almost instantaneously gaining the necesarry texts!

LOL One of the lower ranked Inquisitors had the temerity to question me, a Grey Knight, on why I was interested in the works of chaos. I just stared him down and after a few uncomfortable seconds (for him), he said "Ok, I think I'll go play with my skull servitors now..."

I have read Fallen Angels and I really enjoyed it. There are A LOT of people who didn't but everyone has their own preferences.
I won't go into why I liked it because that would spoil the book
