The Horus Heresy!!! NO SPOILERS PLEASE

Has anyone read the Horus Heresy novels?

I have read "Horus rising", and I am half way through "False Gods". Man I am enjoying these novels!!

It is awesome how Chaos is an un-known force to the marines and how the Sons of Horus are having to come up to speed quickly!
I am really finding these novels are raising my hatred of Daemons beyond levels I ever thought possible!! And those are some high levels considering the fact I am a Brother Grey Knight

Does anyone have any comments on "Horus Rising" ?
I am getting some awesome ideas for the fluff of my GK force!!

I loved the books. Only Flight of the Eisenstein was a sometimes littlebit longbreathed written. Wait until you came to Fulgrim and Legion. Man, you will love those two books. Descent of Angels was the worst of all. I see it not really as a book that fits in the serie of the HH novels.

In Horus Rising the scene when Horus and the Sons of Horus arrived on high orbit on Murder and the scene when Torgaddon and Lord Commander Eidolon meet on Murder had been my favorite. But the first three books are all very good to read. And i hate Erebus much more then i already did. The Emperor had better send us SW against the Word Bearers then the TSons.

I hope for a nice book about the Razing of Prospero.

Murder was an awesome part of the HH novel, and the way it turned out to be an "exile" planet, and a waste of time was crazy!

I have just read up tp the part in "false Gods" where Horus fought Nurgle-Leth on Davin's moon, he is currently in terrible condition and talking to his personal rememberancer.

I am thinking that I might base my fluff around this Nurgle Daemon, as he is one of the first to "plauge" the imperium , and a worthy advasery to the Grey Knights

My favorite part in False Gods was the short intermezzo of Magnus the Red and Ahriman. From all traitor legions the TSons are tho most tragical one. If the Emperor had not send the SW against Prospero one more Legion had been on loyal side.

I love the Horus Heresy series more than I can say. They are so brilliantly written and are the most amazing inspiration to start a Pre-Heresy Marine force. I havn't finished them yet but I've got up to Fulgrim and I can't wait to read the rest.

I really hope you enjoy this series as much as I did.

Just got Battle for the Abyss & I'm really enjoying the series so far, I agree that Descent of Angels was the weakest book so far. Still good read though.

Wow, I am enjoying these books!!!
I now toooooottally hate the Word Bearers, and feel bad for the Thousand Sons (Heresy?) Horus set them up!!! He lied to Russ in order to keep his true intentions secret!!!

I am just about to start Galaxy in flames. What's going to happen next?
(don't answer that last question please!! LOL !!)

Believe me, they´re all (with the exception of Descent of Angels) fantastic but Legion would be a biiiiiiiiiggggggg surprise for you. I loved that book. Dan Abnett had done a real fantastic job with Legion.

Legion is very cool, it's really confusing so you never really know which marine Alpharius really is untill the end. I'm tempted to get an Alpha Legion army now, and call all my models Alpharius.

I have read too the book Fulgrim.
(I think that's the name)

But then my financial crisis started and i haven't been able too buy the other books.

Now i suddently wondered.

-Why didn't i borrow the books?

Borrow them if you can Brother Klomster!!! I have a hard time not knowing what happens next!!! I don't know how you are copeing without continuing to read these books

So far I've read Horus Rising, Galaxy in Flames, Fulgrim and Legion and I borrowed all of them - libraries are very helpfull, so long as you return them on time.

What order do these novels go in?
Could one of you illuminate me please Brothers.
