Recent 1000 point army battle, result and list

Hello brothers!

I recently took on a friend who battles with Orks in a 1000 point battle with "The Emperor's Will" Eternal mission from the new rulebook.

The list I used against him went as follows:

HQ
OMI, Psyker, Psybolt ammo, Combi-Melta, Power armor - 78 points.

TROOPS

x10 GKSS, x2 Psycannons, x2 Hammers, Psybolt ammo - 250 points.
x6 GKSS, x1 Psycannon, x1 Hammer, Psybolt ammo - 160 points.

DEDICATED TRANSPORT
x2 Razorbacks with TLHB, Psybolt ammo - 100 points.

HEAVY SUPPORT
Dreadnought, x2 TLAC, Psybolt ammo - 135 points
Nemesis Dreadknight, Heavy Psycannon, Heavy Incinerator, Personal Teleporter - 275 points.

Total 998 points.


In the end, I won by 5 victory points to 0, taking First Blood and Slay the Warlord secondary objectives whilst holding my Primary Objective at the end.
For me, the list worked perfectly, taking few casualites and holding their lines against an overwhelming number of Orks, I think it must have been around 6:1 ratio at least

What are your thoughts on the list? I'm keen to try and field a 10 man terminator squad in future as I have recently been able to buy another squad

I tried your list this evening against chaos marine...
only changed the weapon of the OMI with a hellrifle, and the dreadknight's HI with the gatling... I earned 6 victory points to 2, only because i take the OMI in a bad starting position (note that i didn't start), and he took the "slay the warlord" VP and killed my dreadknight in the last turn...
I instead burned up a rhino and a cultist squad on turn 1, his demon prince on turn 2, his hellbrute and a berzeker squad on turn 3... not bad, uh?

solid list indeed !
With Termies it would became a strong list if you ask me...
(and think about introducing Coteaz...)

Yeah, Cocheese is a pretty stupidly powerful character. 10 man terminator units are scary, and can be devastating when used correctly. Just be careful where you put them and what kind of guns they're in front of! I like to deep strike them in once some of the ap2 guns are gone.

how would this list do against th/ss? cuz in a 1000points game, their storm shields are op

What would coteaz not do for this list, at 12 points more than the current H.Q. He gives more controll over first turn, Gives you a 2+ save and a hammer, 2nd level psyker, with d6 st 4 shots and can shoot deep strikers and outflankers (well more stops them wanting to come in near him).

i can't say it better than brother first strike ... Coteaz is very powerful for his points
