I've used Karamazov two or three times. I use him to bombard crusaders in CC because they have stormshields. For epic lulz after the first time, when they all survived, I borrowed some roman legionnaries with their shields raised above their heads to use as my crusaders

I've been using my tech with OSR but he also sits back with my dreads in case they need to be repaired aswell

Just used it today against some IG he def paided for himself killed a few psykers with the psi shock and a bunch of IG with the barrage and a demolisher with a lance shot

Question about the orbital:
I never used it directed at a model but if you place the orbital using karamazov then how do you center it on one of your own models?

Do you use it like placing a blast template "on" an enemy model meaning it just has to touch the models base somewhere or must you place the very center of the orbital blast on the very center of the targeted mini?

In this case using big things like a dreadknight is worthless since a lance strike is smaller then the dreadknights base so it will never reach beyond it and even a big blast will pretty much be eaten up by a dreadknight base if it is forces to be "centered" on the model.

I've always played it that you place the hole anywhere over your model like you would if it's an enemy.

I played a Techie with the OSR in a recent tournie. He did NOTHING but kill three Hormagaunts in 5 games. Even his bolster rule was negated by Tau markerlights! Now I will never take him as he did not give bang for bucks!!!

This dude is ok (just Ok) but when I play apocalypse I take the OSR on all my HQ's and Techies.

If I use an OSR within 12" of a servo-skull, should I scatter of 1 or 2 D6 ?

2D6 always, and ignore any hit rolls (use the little arrow instead)

140 points for a large blast that always always ALWAYS scatters 2D6"......it's an expensive way of doing it.

Kamarazov is the only way you can get accurate orbital strikes. and that's if you're using your own units as bait. which is nasty...

I agree, it is a bit strange to kill your own troops, it is not the Grey Knight way

Kamarazov w/ crusaders.....it could be done.
