1750/1850 Crowe/Mordrak combo list

Having seen the comments on the alpha strike list I made, and re-read the rules about Mordrak, plus having noticed that in my usual crowe purifier army the paladins almost never actually get anywhere unless they have a very expensive land raider ride, I'm starting to consider mordrak + ghost knights as an alternative to the paladins. I've built 2 versions depending on how many points the game I'm playing is. So here goes:

1750 (35 points to spare)

Mordrak + 5 ghost knights with halberds

6 purifiers, 3 halberds, 2 psycannon, 1 hammer, Rhino
6 purifiers, 3 halberds, 2 psycannon, 1 hammer, Rhino

1850 (24 points to spare, might do an extra purifier with sword...)

Perhaps not the most competitive lists, but I think they'd be fun to play with. I lose 1 terminator armoured wound and a few purifiers compared to using my 5 paladins, but now at least my Termies will get into combat, and I have a grandmaster to give scouting/scoring to my dreadknights depending on the game. A lot more synergy as well, I could have Mordrak + Ghosts and 2 Dreadknights in the enemy's face on turn 1, the purifiers not far behind because of their rhino's moving at cruising speed, then in the next round shooting their psycannons from the hatch.

As usual comments and thoughts are welcome

(P.S.: I know I'm posting lots of army lists, but I'm still looking for a list I can stick with in almost any situation, without resorting to a standard army)

As your only using 6 or 5 man Purifier sqauds you could take razorbacks instead of rhinos which would give you some tank busting range with the twin-links lazcan

What do you suggest I'd drop for lasbacks? In the first list I have the points to replace my rhino's with psybacks, but in the second list I don't...

razorbacks also don't have firing points like the rhinos do, which render my purifiers more useful.

I understand the choice between firing from your rhino and not being able to with the razor so I would only take 1 as a rhino replacement! Unsure of the points for this as codex is not infront of me but it just puts a twist into this list that already seems to have very good protential,if you don't have enuff points there's no need to worry as the list you have sounds good,but if you do manage to fit a razor in there instead of a rhino it just gives the enemy abit more to think about and gives you a long ranged weapon what can hurt heavy armour!

a lasback is double the price of a rhino, basically, 40 points extra for the required upgrades. Long range anti-armour is my greatest weakness, but so far i've never had an issue there, because i send both my dreadknights to hunt heavily armoured vehicles early game.

That's a fair point and as I said your list does sound very good so if it's working for you,then stick with it! Happy hunting

IDEA: how about an extra storm bolter on all 3 of the rhinos, in the 1750 list. Defensive weapons, so both can fire after moving at combat speed, plus you get the psycannons shooting out of the hatch. 10 points each, so that's 1745 total, nice!

Nice brain work you got a good combo there with a little extra fire power,possibly look at a hunter mis if the points are there as every little Bit of bang helps!

How about some searchlights also just to help against night fighting Necrons. They would just be one more trick up your sleeve
