1750pts Crowe Crownies
Feedback and experience from my first battle report HERE got me thinking about my 1750 pt list. I've now made a revised list, which I'd like to get some comments on:
HQ
Crowe - 150
Troops
4 x 6 Purifiers, 3 Halberds, 2 Psycannon, 1 Hammer + Rhino dedicated transport - 215 each
Heavy
2 x Nemesis Dreadknight, Heavy Incinerator, Personal Teleporter - 235 each
Land Raider - 255
Total: 1735
This leaves me with 15 points to spare; not enough for a sword on one of the NDK's.
Upped my purifier squads from 5 to 6 each, adding a halberd to each of them, increasing their close combat prowess. Even if it was due to some bad rolls, a 5-man squad actually lost combat vs an IG squad, let's minimize those odds.
The Razorbacks in my old list have been replaced by Rhinos, The loss of their heavy bolters should be compensated by the fire ports for my purifier psycannons.
The Heavy Psycannon on one of my NDK's didn't even get fired once in my previous match, with its short range and inaccuracy a heavy incinerator will almost always turn out better. Had to drop his sword to allow for enough points for my purifiers.

Just wondering: but why take a land raider when you're not putting a deadly unit inside? ^^
I'd drop the land raider and add two psyflemen dreadnoughts to give you some more long range punch against low AV transports or those pesky hq units hehe
I think the heavy incinerator is a much better choice than the heavy psycannon (same stats as a normal psycannon, generally won't hit more than 1 thing, but can scatter? don't like it)

Re: 1750pts Crowe Crownies
Would be perfect Requiem, except that all 3 heavy slots are taken with 2 NDK's and 1 Psyfleman. A Venerable Psyfleman would fit in the FOC, but would cost me too many points, which means I'm kinda stuck there as well.
Without the paladins I'd take in a 2k point game the LR does lose some of its use indeed.
2 dreadnoughts extra would increase my firepower vs low AV, but all of my purifier squads can take those out as well, and my dreadknights would simply destroy them. Perhaps a 3rd dreadknight? Or would that be overkill? Then I would have the points to kit 1 with a sword...

Re: 1750pts Crowe Crownies
looks good DOMI, though it comes down to this:
2 less Killpoints than the original idea (1 less rhino and 1 less purifier squad)
EDIT: each squad counts as a separate killpoint, so the team that'll squad will be worth 2 KP's, unless I don't split them... might be an idea for Annihilation games.
and if i do this:
10 purifiers, 4 psycannons, 2 hammers, 4 halberds, rhino (combat squad)
5 purifiers, 2 psycannons, 1 hammer, 2 halberds, rhino
10 purifiers, 4 incinerators, 2 hammers, 4 halberds, rhino (raider)
2 kniths, pt, incinerator, sword
landraider
I come up to exactly 1750 pts, and I only need to buy 1 extra box of purifiers
Would I need to waste my first turn on a bunch of my purifiers to get them into their respective transports, or can I do that before I move onto the table?

Re: 1750pts Crowe Crownies
How would you guys recommend I scale this up to 2000 points? I have 5 paladins I would not like to waste, but together they're worth at least 275 points... Lose one of the swords on the NDK's again?
That would mean the paladins have no special weapons or equipment...
or even a transport...
