Crowe list 1750pts

Hi all,

I know these lists are nothing new but which one is the better build?

I'm thinking it maybe to close to call.

I'd rather max the purifiers, after all if you're taking Crowe, might as well make it worth it, right?

This still leaves 160pts left to spend @1750pts limit

You could chuck a vindi assasin in there as abit of sniper power what is alway a good thing and i think he comes in at a 145 pt

Your Purifiers will probably spend most of the game either psycannoning from the rhino or in CC - with this in mind i would shave some points off

- drop the third psycannon from each squad
- drop the psybolt ammo from each squad

With the points saved I would always try and squeeze in 10 Interceptors, even if it means losing a few bodies from Purifiers.

All good tips guys here's the BIG problem!

I like the psybolts to be honest think they just give your bolters an edge, if I drop one psycannon from each squad it does up the halberd count in each squad!

Mmmmm, tough this when theres some great final build options!

Played two games yesterday both against a good dark eldar player who had a strong Hellion, Talos, Ravager, Raider, Homunculus, Baron & Venums.

I won both games & got Crow into CC on both games and he cleaned up squads in a bloody wave!!!!

First game:

My Vindicare got blasted 1st turn the only thing he did was draw fire, pretty expensive for one turn, but then my dreads got firing & the only other mistake I made was rushing my purifiers out, didnt have a choice on one squad as he charger on of my dreads with some hellions and tied it up in CC, so that needed clearing as he still had tanks at the time.

The 2nd game v the same list I dropped the Vindicare, HK missiles & psybolts, replaced them with a 5x Terminator Squad (Psycannon, Hammer & 4 halberds)

Now this time it was a battering pushed up the rhinos, running Terms & Crowe behind them, the large groups of hellions could wrap the rhinos due to positioning, as well as being backed up by terms/crowe, had to leave one rhino as it got immobilised purifiers mashed a squad of hellions, crowe jumped in rhino & i made my repair roll, hail the emperor..!

In this game I lost one squad of purifiers & one immobilised dread, 1st game lost 2x purifiers, vindicare, immobilised dread & another lost a autocannon.

I like this little list!

Another thought was with the freed up points was to drop the terms, psybolts etc & replace with a stormraven for Crowe to ride in but I think this could be a bit excessive as Crowe running up behind some rhinos & terms worked well.

A SR in 6th may be good with the new flyer rules, but having anyone inside one sounds awfully dangerous (S10 hit no saves if the flyer dies while moving).

I would suggest the Celexus assassin, he can do a lot of damage when he lands, and if he doesn't die is good in combat too. (Gets random attacks on the squad he lands near, plus his flamer template).
