Feels like Christmas :D

After putting the gift cards I received during the holidays plus my wife's promotion gift to me, I made a substantial order from GW and FW and from Privateer Press. To my pleasant surprise, they all arrived today!

-Canoness (which I plan to convert into an inquisitor lord (lady))

I recently ordered from waylandgames.co.uk some of the Hordes - Circle Orboros models just because they are such nice models!

I agree, the Privateer Press models I got was from Metropolis, Warmachine, and Hordes. Hmmm, when I upload their pics here to show everyone, won't I be infringing on any copyright laws?

I doubt you will have an issues, unlike GWS most other model producers are extremely happy for their model pictures to be linked because its free advertising.
Also your only not allowed to post or link to official GWS pictures, any that are taken by anyone else, including of box art etc they can't legally stop.

Ok here are pics of the Privateer Press minis I'm planning to use/convert for my inquisition army...
Warmachine Khador warcaster (The feminine hammer she wields will be perfect for a TH or daemonhammer for my female IL). The model itself is beautiful so I'll have to give her some other type of weapon.

Metropolis Syntha Character - I love this pose. A little conversion here and there to give her the proper eversor equipment and I think she'll be a real "sexy but deadly" eversor

Dark Age Forsaken X'cess - makes a great DC assassin, no conversion needed.

Dark Age Skarrd Saber - another great DC assassin w/ no conversions necessary.

Ah, always fun to buy new stuff, especially from Forge World. Have fun modelling all those models.
I dunno what your plan is with the GK Land Raider door and the pre heresy Land Raider, but just to let you know the side doors are not the same on the pre heresy and on a regular Land Raider. I think the side doors on the pre heresy are the same as on a rhino.

and i love the pre-heresy LR too ... i'm planning to buy it too !!
now you JUST have to convert and paint everything !!

LOL True that. I actually found that out after I got the model Luckily, the GK LR doors are actually for a GK LRR I'm building. I do have the Inquisition LR doors and some spare Inquisition rhino doors so I thankfully have the necessary doors to make the pre-heresy LR into an Inquisition LR (thank goodness )

I know I'm using all my willpower to continue finishing my NMM all GK army first before I even touch these models. I know that once I begin building, I won't be able to stop

I didnt notice you already got the stuff i thought you just ordered it. Anyway i think Forge World really need to include both GK and Inqusitorial doors as an option for the pre heresy Land Raider.

I envy your willpower if you manage to keep your hands of all those goodies you got there, i know i would not be able to control my self since modeling is so much more fun than painting imo.

What chapter is your allied SM gonna be?

I totally agree with you. I actually enjoy modelling more than painting also.

I'm going to use the Red Hunters Space Marines chapter. I loved reading about them in IA 7 (Seige of Vraks part 3). Plus their history already shows close ties with the Inquisition. Their chapter color will also go with my army's theme of blacks and reds

You´ve got a lot of nice stuff. Remembers me that i also still waiting for some late christmas presents (2x LRC/LRR, one Trygon and the SW ven. dread from FW).
I hope you have a dremel. You will need it for the pre-heresy LR. I can remember when i got mine. It took over an hour for each sponson to fit together. But it´s a very nice model.

Thanks for the tip Brother. Yeah, I do have a dremel. I consider it a must have for any kind of conversion or clean up job w/ pewter or resin

BTW, that SW ven dread from FW is awesome! I hope that when they finally come out w/ a new DH codex, they'll make a nice ven GK dread too

I´m curious for the new BA Librarian Dreadnought. Maybe it´s an option for a GK dread conversion.

Nice to hear you will be using Red Hunters as allies, im also planning on getting a force of them when i feel my GK force is completed.
Hopefully Forge World will write some more info on them and release more stuff than just a transfer sheet.

Yeah, something like what they did for the Red Scorpions. Even if its just sculpted shoulder pads or something

I agree with brother Aubec, thé 2 PP last models are excellents! Could be considered to Play with at Dark Heresy.......

Yup. PP really make good minis. I tried to stay w/ GW minis as much as I can but sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for. The 2 PP models I'm going to use as death cult assassins will give variety to the 6 death cults I plan to use

Ohhh nice, I'm interested to see how those would go because I've never really thought their stats warranted a second look, but thats just me, and I'd be happy to be proven wrong!

Yeah, that's the drag. Even if the models look really cool, they probably won't allow them. No worries, these assassins are for my Inquisition army which I'll never use in a tournament. My tourney list will always be my pure GK army

Some month ago i faced a list with 9 DC assassines. Their usefullness depends on the played mission. In an annihilation mission they suck. They´re too weak and when the opponent is working with a gunline, the DC assassines could be only second winner. In object missions it´s a bit different. Your opponent is forced to take object and has to split his army. The DCs can overwhelm single units more easyly.

Yup. In annihilation missions it will really suck. But 2/3 of the time, it should be a lot of fun
