Ideas for my book

What would you guys like to see in a gk book ?

I think that the existing books are awesome, and that more of the same would be great
In regards to specifics........

I think that a novel about Mordrak would be great, or any of the characters really...Crowe, Draigo, Stern, etc...

Books revealing secrets about the GKs are also good.... The whole thing about a portal in the Emperor's throne room would be good to know about.....

I want to know whatever happened to Meh'Lindi running round the webway - somewhere near the black library.

I can't believe the Inquisitor books were published 20 years ago!

Well, the focus of the strain corruption puts on the will of the grey knights is always a classic, how the deamon try to seduce them and come up with more and slanderous ways of doing it.

I also particularily like in one of the GK books where a deamon tries to show how cool and awesome he could have been and the GK is all like -"Meh, not impressed." And generally kicks his ass.

Those who've read it knows who

Otherwise some good dozes of action, loads of scenery and feel and interesting characters. Being space marines this one is kinda hard, especially with grey knights.
Those are the recipes of any good book. (The action might not be combat, social action is also very popular in drama books.)

Perhaps it would help I you shared what your vision for your book is IL, and we can help you build from there.

I used that link as the area for critique brother. I was referring to IL sharing the plot with us. I do not know much about writing a novel, but I am pretty sure you need to have a plan/direction of some kind. And it was this that I was asking about

Oh... yeah.

It is actually best to have a plot-line in advance. Even if you only have the ultra basics.

It's easier to write what the character does next if you know what the over-arching goal is with the story.

Example:
"When walking along the empty hive motor-lanes, the city seemed life-less and ghostly silent."
"Then brother Aurellius entered the plaza......" *But what does he do next?????*

If you know that the story is about eventually killing a big evil deamon dude in the end you know what impact this scene has on the overarching story.

Example continued:
"........ where all the old stores were lined up. He entered and bought milk. The reason the town was so silent is because it's 'Honor the Ohmnissiah day' where no vehicles are driven and only a few people are out."

It's also very basic to have a few plot-points in the story.

1. Aurellius becomes a battle brother.
2. Aurellius is stationed on a war-torn world with no hope.
3. Aurellius buys milk.
4. Aurellius goes on a starship, which crashes into the sun, but Aurellius drop pods to safety.
5. Aurellius lands on an EVIL planet and goes and kills the EVIL deamon his name is Benny and realizes he's stranded here......
The end.

Not that that would create much of a serious story, but i could probably get a whole book out of that one if i could bother (granted not a very long book, but interesting )
