750pts doubles

Hello brothers,

(Skip if you like) At the beginning of April there's a doubles tournament coming up at nottingham. The hanley Gamesworkshop will be against crewe and various other rivals. This is the perfect oppurtunity to get my army together and test out my faith in the emperor...

So I have a few models at the moment but I'm happy to buy some more. I don't have a doubles partner at the moment but wanted to work on my list...

I've been to one of these before a year or two back (for the emperor account) and it was great fun! I know it's best to be shoot or assault because then you can work your units together better (without too much communication, afterall a battleplan needs to be concealed).

Are your DCAs going to footslog? They probably won't last that long if they're not in a transport. Just my two cents.

That's a good point, I'm hoping that they will be able run behind the razorbacks for cover. Just realised I don't need a mystic.
Edit: are other units more reliable at using flame templates like interceptors and dreadknights?

750 point doubles tournaments are difficult because it is hard to make a well rounded list. The biggest issue I see here is just like Brother Rivan said... Your DCA's are in the open and they are pretty fragile on thier own. I would try to protect them till you can get them in CC.

Troop mobility, for scoring, is a little weak and should be either adjusted in your list or strong in your partners list.

Dreadknights are amazing with the heavy incinerator (Love that weapon) but are really spendy... Might be tough to fit him in.

Strike knights x 10 - 2 Pyscannon, Halberd

Dreadknight - Heavy Incinerator, Hammer

Tactics - Coteaz + henchmen rhino moves 12" with DCA running behind.
Strikes And Dreadknight support the movement with flame and Stormbolter
