1750 Points versus Necrons

Hello everybody.

Today i made a quick game against the new Necrons. It was a favor for my opponent. He´s running the GW store that i´m frequently visiting and he has a game tomorrow against his boss (who´s playing GK) and he wanted to know how it is to face GK.
My opponent throw for the mission and i for the deployment type.

My list:

GM: mastercrafted Halbert, SB, psybolt ammo, Psychotroke + Rad grenades

Purifier squad (10): 10 Halberts, psybolt ammo
ven. dread: AC, DCCW, HF, psybolt ammo

Terminator squad (5): Hammer, 4 Halberts, Psycannon
Terminator squad (5): Hammer, 4 Halberts, Psycannon

Stormraven: TLAC, MM

NDK: Heavy Incinerator, Nemesis Great Sword, Personal Teleporter
Dreadnought: 2 TL autocannons, psybolt ammo

Monolith

I got first turn:
I place the GM and the two termie squads in the center of the table. near a building. The SR with the ven dread and the Purifiers moved to their position. The NDK and the psyfleman moved also in the direction of my GM. While my opponent placed nothing on the table i could do nothing more.

Necrons 1st turn:
The Lord and the Mono were held back in reserve and all other units arrived on the table. He tried to keep as much of his units out of sign. The destruktors tried to shut down my SR but archieved only a "crew stunned" result.

GK 2nd turn:
I passed the test for Fortitude and the SR moved 12" to the left. Both terminator squads left their cover and opened together with the SR fire on the Immortals with gauss blasters and killed two of them. The Psyfleman fired at the Phantoms and wounded two of them.

Necrons 2nd turn:
Nether the Lord nor the Mono came from the reserve. He moved the Phantoms toward my NDK. The destroyers once again fired at my SR and once again archieved a "crew stunned" and a "weapon destroyed" result. I lost my MM. The Phantoms closed in for CC with my NDK. I was forced to make 4 armour saves and 3 inv saves. I lost 2 wounds. In return i killed one Phantom.

GK 3rd turn:
This was my turn. Like the turn befor i passed the test for fortitude and the SR moved forward to deliver his deadly cargo to the necron warriors. The Purifiers and the ven dread left their transport. The Purifiers unleashed a deadly hail from their stormbolters and ripped 4 of those foul xenos appart. The ven dread fired on the Immortals with gauss blasters and killed another one. The termie squad without the GM also fired on those Immortals but did nothing. The GM and his termie squad moved to support the NDK in CC.
The Phantoms tried to kill the NDK but failed to wound. In return the GM, the terminators and the NDK killed all 5 Phantoms. The Purifiers smashed into the warriors. The Knight of the Flame fokused his energie and killed 4 warriors with his cleansing flame. The following storm of halberts annihilated the rest of the warriors. 17 Necron Warriors in a single round. WOW

Necrons 3rd turn:
The Mono arrived near the centre of the table. With two units already destroyed my opponent starts to hesitate. The Immortals with the tesla carabines opened fire at the terminator squad wthout GM and wound 8 times. He killed the Psycannon. The Immortals with gauss blasters killed one Purifier. And the destroyers shut down the SR. Teh Mono tried to destroy the Psyfleman but once again "crew stunned".

GK 4th turn:
I was once again on the move. Thanks to fortitude the Psyfleman took aim at the destroyers. Together with the ven dread he blasted two of the heavy destroyers appart. My GM and his squad wanted to go after the other Immortals and the NDK headed for the mono. The other terminator squad closed the distance with the Mono. The Purifiers fired at the gauss Immortals and killed two of them. In CC they finished the rest of the squad. The Justicar of the termies without the GM destroyed the Mono with his Daemonhammer. two 6 for the hit and thanks to Hammerhand two 5 for the AP and the Mono was gone.

That was the moment my opponent gave up. 4:1 kill points for me.

Congrats on the win! How does your friend feel about GKs now And do you know what kind of GK list the manager is using?

My friend was a bit pissed. And my list was not a really hard tournament list.
No, i don´t know what the manager will play i know him but haven´t seen him for a while.

your psyriflemen shot at the phantoms and caused 2 wounds. did you guys forgot that the S8 is enough to instant kill a phantom or did they just came back to life with reanimation protocols?

and for the store manager that also plays GK. as i heard he plays a heavy tournament like list including 3 psyrifle dreads.

Your list isn't a tournament list, but its still pretty well balanced.

Your opponent probably needs to rethink how his list is built though, maybe getting rid of the Mono

Yeah, he told me something like that after our match. He will replace the Mono with a Dominator Barge.

dominator barge is one of the worst choices in the heavy slot, well see how alex goes with this one...

also... tesla carbines... those things are just as useless as a psilencer if you compare those weapons to the options the unit can take instead of those 2.
