New Player 2000pts Army - Looking for advice!

Hello fellow Brothers,

Im a new player that has loved warhammer for a very long time playing all the games and reading countless books. I've decided I finally have time to build an army of my favorite chapter! It's going to be first going against my brother that is making a Necron army and I'd like any advice that you my brethran can give me! I apologize in advance if the formatting of my list is hard to read.

First off, welcome to the forums Brother!

Secondly, I would recommend refraining from putting the exact points cost for war gear and stuff. This violates GW's copyright laws or what not.

You're over by 1 heavy support choice. We can only have up to 3 heavy support choices. So you'll have more points to use. I would suggest giving the paladins 2 psycannons each. They are relentless and can fire in heavy mode even on the move.

Alright here is my refined list. I took out the Dreadknight and added the psycannons to the pallys. Also increased the purifier squad to 10 man instead of 7 and master crafted a bunch of stuff. I still have 10pts I could use but I couldn't really find anything to use it on.

Looks good and I like the combinations. Only thing you need to discard is the 2nd psycannon from the 5-man Interceptor squad. They can only have 1 special weapon per 5-models

I like your list,

My only suggestion - drop the PsyAmmo on the Purifier squad, its not really worth the cost with 6 guys getting the benefit (IMO)

Thanks Brothers for all your advice! I have replaced the Psycannon in the Interceptor Squad with another NFH. That leaves me with 15pts open. I have left the Psybolt Ammu in the Purifier Squad cause if I take it out that would leave 35pts open that I just can't seem to find a use for.

I never thought of a 6th man for the Interceptor Squad. So its 31 Points for the man and a NFH. I'll definitely take the Psybolt Ammu out of the Purifiers and add that 6th man.
