First try-out Semi-competitive Grey Knights (2500pts)
I'm trying to avoid buying too many things. I ordered Draigo and I ordered some Psycannons and a figure to use as a Brotherhood champion. It is likely in the near future I will use a Psycannon heavy support team. But that's a worry for later.
What do I have other than what's here? A few more Grey Knights, hordes of incinerators, 1 Landraider Crusader, A Grand Master with Psycannon, 2 Termies with Incins and a few Termies with swords.
I also have a third dread (another regular one)
THE PLAN:
Now what am I planning to do? Basically try out what the new codex can do. I love the idea of going super elite. A strong hero in each paladinsquad.
Each squad goes in a Landraider which I'll use to advance and slam into the enemy. Preferably a single flank.
The Venerable Dread will advance, shooting as he goes. He's there to occupy the enemy and if possible slam his fist in the face of an unpleasant foe.
The Grey Knight basic squads will advance, claim objectives, fire and assault as they go.
The regular dread is there mostly as firesupport and won't do much more than stand and shoot.
The Landraiders depending on the situaiton will end up becoming anti tank or merely focussed on hitchhiking their valuable cargo across the board as the game continues.
Most likely enemies? Necrons with a monolith and Nightbringer. But also some Chaos Space Marines (Deathguard or Iron Warriors) and tons of nasty Space Marines (Blood Angels, White Scars etc)

why not transforming 1 of your troop PAGK in purifiers ??
they are worth the try and you can still change theme in troops if needed with grand strategy...

if your taking purifiers they definatly need halberds and maybe 1 incinerator. I've also seen squads of purifeirs with a warding stave
