Who do you play the most?

I was curious as to what your favorite armies to play in DOW are?
I put "other" as a choice so that if you use mods or somthing I have not included you can still vote.
Also let me know what Chapters, Craftworld, custom color schemes, etc.. you prefer.

This is just for fun

I play SMs, and primarily the Blood Ravens. I find it more fun when the mini movies are depicting the Chapter I play. And I love the fluff around the BRs.
I always call in the Grey Knights as soon as I can of course

Mostly I will play the Tau, Ke'lshan sept which is what I play on the tabletop. For the Space Marines I play Red Scorpions and if I'm playing the Amegeddon mod I play Grey Knights since it allows you to have three squads. Lol, and it's not easy to build up high enough to get Grey Knights without taking any other troops!

When i play i play as Orks, with black pants.

Or imperial guard, coulured as my inquistorial stormies, or as techguard. (I don't think such things exist, but i made an entire army in DOW just to make the techpriest look as awesome as possible)

Or my Sm's, the Legion Of Lordia. Aka LOL. They are pink with green shoulder pads and their chapter icon is a heart. Their flag is the world eater one!

Do you play on-line?

Do any of our Brothers play on-line? I have tried but for some reason I can't make it happen I own original copies and have the correct codes, but I keep getting denied.

Does any one have any advice on how to trouble shoot this issue?

Hmm, might need to reinstall. Do you use mods? If so you might need to make sure that they are turned off.

I have reinstalled b4, but I guess I could try it again. If that doesn't work I guess I will try and contact Relic. grrr

I obviously play Space Wolves or 13th Company, but I still mess arouns with all the other armies (except from those cursed Eldar (Dark eldar are fine, I'm making an army of them to try to be on even terms with the evil non-evil eldar (I know what I mean (what is with me and parenthesis??))))

Always Grey Knights! Though I consider trying out the Black Templar army I am building/painting for my younger brother. Stormtrooper/Guard sometimes with my DH's, namely Karskin models

I play Chaos Space Marines most, second is Dark Eldar, third is DH when I have the mod installed.

I play Eldar mostly. Its the first race I played with and still my preferred army. I also cant argue with their look and lore.

Usually play as SM, but i have learned to handle most of the races pretty well. Reminds me i havent played this game in a long time, but i use to play it A LOT, to much actually. If anyone still plays it online it would be fun to have a game or two.

Unfortunately I have uninstalled the normal version of the game and can't find it anywhere,so now I'm stuck with Soulstorm and only SoB and DE as armies so I don't play online anymore

Is the online community still alive? I remember there use to be a couple of hundred ppl or so online in SS the month following its release.
I understand your lack of interest for the game with that few options of races to play.

I got the THQ pack from steam.

And alot of DOW came along.

I hate the fact i still suck at all RTS except rise and fall.
Gk mod is cool though.

I myself when I started playing DOW1, I always used CSM. It really was what got me hooked on 40k in general. I just loved seeing the Bloodthirsterer rip through units left and right. Though after reading more about the Grey Knights, I converted to the Inquisition. I will play CSM from time to time, but as of now, I find enjoyment in going with SM and Deepstriking EVERYTHING that I can.

When I play online, it's always over a direct IP address (Amongst my friends, I normally host due to issues with networks). For some reason, Gamespy doesn't work for any of us at all. Not that we mind at all, but with how DOW2 is setup, we wish that the ability of Direct IP for Multiplayer games was there. It's annoying when you want to play it online and NEITHER Windows Live or Steam is running.

Yeah, but the only thing annoying about that mod is that it takes too long to get Grey Knights and all the other troops suck.
I usually play as the Tau or SM. Or =I=.

I personally don't like soulstorm, the sisters are real cool and stuff but they made alot of things strange.

Like scarab swarms beeing flyers, and not beeing able to have burnas in squads that should have them.
Dark crusade is best.
And i really started liking DOW II.

i like to play chaos marines just love defilers and oblirators but if i play campaigns i use the guard

and i dont really like soulstorm much either klomster its the aircraft and the sisters are good but they are bad at range and against the guard they just die

I play using the Necrons - the Resurrection Orb is an easy way to exceed the limit in the Number of Troops allowed at one time....
