I don't wanna be 'that guy' - 500 point options

I have a game at a new store in 2 weeks; 500 points - 1 HQ and 1 troops choice compulsory and then normal FOC.

I had a list drawn up but I'm not too sure if it's too....ouch! I really don't want to be the guy who just blows in with a tournament style list and proceeds to pummel people with it. I'd much rather be a guy that people say 'I had a really enjoyable game against him and wouldn't mind playing again'

So far, the list I have scribbled down is

Inquisitor Coteaz

[Elite]
Callidus Assassin

[Troops]
Inquisitor Warband 1 consisting of
2 Servitors with heavy bolters
1 Servitor with Multi Melta
2 Crusaders
1 Jokaero Weaponsmith

[Troops]
Inquisitor Warband 2 consisting of
5 Crusaders
1 Jokaero Weaponsmith

[Dedicated Transport]
Razorback with twin linked heavy bolter and
Psybolt Ammunition

It's basically a trimmed down version of my normal list. However, part of me is also saying to try something different...but what to use?

I don't want Powered Armour and Terminator Armour. I was looking at that second warband and thinking of changing it to 3 Jokaero, but I can't really do anything with the remaining 5 points...

Suggestions, brothers?

i really don't think your list is "too much"" :
Yes you have a lot of punch, but you're also T3 for everyone and Ld 8 (9 with Coteaz?) so you could be hit very hard too...
I question though : what's the use of the Jokaero in the Crusaders' unit ? What is the use of a full crusaders unit anyway ? ...

if you want to play a different list for 500 points... use a full GK list based on the Brotherhood Champion and PAGK with psycannons... it's the list I want to use in 500 points and i think it's fun !
Or a full GK list based on Termies ... Termie for 500 points are awesome, but it could be more difficult to play because of the poor body count...

The Crusaders and Jokaero unit hold objectives like you wouldn't believe and the Jokaero just gives them a bit of ranged support and a heavy flamer if the unit gets charged - that having been said, that unit tarpitted St Celestine recently with the only wound in the unit having been caused by the Jokaero!

As I usually dice missions from the book, I need something that can sit on an objective and not worry too much...that unit does it

I would go with Acolytes with Hot shot lasguns or storm bolters, lots of them. And of course the Jokaeros. Perhaps even giving them plasmas:

3 Plasma Gun Acolytes
3 Storm Bolter Acolytes
Jokaero
Chimera, Heavy Bolter+Heavy Bolter

150 points on a chimera isn't too bad. You get to hit from inside your transport and have 2 heavy bolters for some heavy firepower fun. But of course you'll have to loose the Assasin.

I don't think your first list is overpowered. However, I recommend editing your list so that it does not show the individual points cost for each henchman before the adaptus administratum comes for you.

yes it's forbidden here in this forum (and in others i guess) to give the individual points of each member of an unit... just the total.
The purpose of this rule is to avoid GW wrath for permitting to anyone to have the data of their codex (and army books) without buying their products...
So please can you edit your first post ? I admit i missed it the first time !
