Friends with benefits

After reading the Techmarine thread earlier today and all the buffs it bestows on the force as a whole I started thinking about units that compliment each other and came up with a 2000pt mutual appreciation society

Cortaez
2 x Techmarine, rad/psyco
Vindicare
Henchman squad - 3 servitors / 2 jokaero / 3 acolytes
2 x Henchman squads - 7 DCA / 2 Crusaders / 2 Melta Acolytes / 1 Mystic
10 Interceptors
Dreadknight
2 x Landraider Crusader, Multi-Meltas

Cortaez and his servitor squad willl sit in bolstered defences courtesy of a Techmarine and will have their guns tweaked by the jokaero

The Vindicare gains benefit from the other bolstered defences

The Techmarines ride in the raiders with the DCA units, from there they can repair, add their grenades to close combat and prevent the DCA being tarpitted with swings from the servo arms.

The Mystics allow accurate deepstriking next to the raiders which should even give the knight a cover save.

The obvious buff units I\'ve ommited are the GM and Lib - are their anymore that I have competely overlooked?

What about a Brotherhood Champion in a DCA unit?
Re-roll to hit on the charge, brings a force weapon and can take out eternal warriors if he goes down.

GM or librarian would be better all round, but they stop sweeping advances and cost more points.

Wow. That sounds pretty brutal to me. A brotherhood champion who casts hammer hand after charging in with a unit of dcas and the taking the shield of blades stance so he can Reroll his failed saves. The only thing that I can think of that would be more brutal would be a 10 man squad of dread knights.

Maybe this could be more brutal:

Brotherhood Champion
Techmarine with grenades
10 Purifiers with halberds
Landraider Crusader

That sounds very much what you might get if Crowe could join a unit... maybe why he cannot?

I agree that you would not want to meet that group of units.
