1500pt Death World Campaign
*WARNING* Incoming wall of text. Please feel free to TL;DR down to the lists.
So I've recently gotten back into 40k just in time for the new campaign my store is running. The campaign will be using the new death world rules from WD, starting out as a hellscape and then later using the others. It's 1500pts, standard force org chart with one exception, We can take 1 psyker for half it's normal points cost, including named characters. Naturally this is a HUGE boon to the GKs. A Draigowing just got much more viable. Alternatively I could run a fully pimped out GM(MCPsycannon/stave,'nades etc) or even a lvl 3 libby with all the trimmings for less than 200pts a go(bearing in mind my usual HQ for this game is a 260pt Thunderwolf Lord and I do okay with him). Hell I could theoretically pimp out an NDK and stick it onto my purifier army for less than 150pts.
Most of the games will be part of the megabattle which is usually only around 4 turns long and is played on 24-48" x 48" with one big piece of terrain on each side and one objective placed in the middle of the table. This makes it kind of difficult to pick a list as most of the usual trends in 40k are ignored(no mass light AV transports etc) Likely opponents include Khorne and Nurgle CSM armies including multiple Contemptors in lucius pattern drop pods and a squad of terminators each, IG with 3-4 various Leman Russes and lots of infantry, necrons with scarabs, wraiths and a pimped out Lord on a CCB or necrons with worldscape c'tan and Imhotek, scarabs.
So onto lists, I've come up with this for a Draigowing, assuming my math is correct I have 43pts to spare(psychic power for the =I= and MC both psycannons and another halberd in the small pallie squad maybe?)

Total 220
Pros: Lots and lots of dakka. 7 relentless psycannons and 2 PA ones which shouldn't be moving much = 28 - 36 shots per turn, + stormbolters
Pallies are fully kitted out for wound allocation shenanigans.
Nothing can stand up to these guys in CC, they should be able to chop anything up(even the contemptors with hammers and stacking HH)
Warp quake will hopefully keep me safe from podding contemptors and any units deepstriking in because of the death world special rule
Servo skulls can help if I choose to deepstrike in(or have to because of the special rule)
Cons: Low unit count, unless I combat squad the pallies I'll probably only be shooting at 2-3 units per turn
Potential to be screwed over by the objectives 's special rules, which include str8 AP2 bombardments simulated with party poppers, choosing an opponents unit and forcing it back to it's own board edge, outright simply removing any 1 opposing model and the ever so annoying vortex grenades
Short range. Everything is 24" max(30" on the pallies)
I'm also not entirely sure I have enough termies with psycannons built to make this list. I may have to sacrifice my dual wielding GM
So what do you guys think of this list, good? bad? so awful I should be taken out and shot? Is there anything you guys would recommend changing? Would I be better going with a mixture of termies and power armoured guys? if so can any of you guys suggest a list like that that could be effective?
*EDIT* 2 random questions i thought of that are semi related.
1) Anyone got a good suggestion for a colour scheme for a radical Inquisitor?
2)If a unit mishaps because of warp quake and rolls the result that lets me place the unit, can I place it within 12" of the warp quake squad and make it mishap again to try and destroy it(I'm guessing it's a no but someone suggested it during a random chat)

Re: 1500pt Death World Campaign
hello brother bigbri,
this seems like a very nasty army what with the pallies. im using the same kind of idea. as for the questions, the thing with inquisitors is you can experiment like i did with my first one. i have another one on its way but i used bwarf bronze with a range of other colours to come up with this...
as for the second question i have no idea. hope this helped
