A good start is to think, LOS will be almost always blocked.
And you will be charging buildings lots.
Consider the engineer or something on the knights.
Frag grenades is a must.

The game I played a few weeks back had a lot of ruins and burnt-out buildings. Fighting was close and dirty and my Grand Master and incinerator GK's took a heavy toll on the enemy. I'd at least take 1 incinerator per unit. With Black Templars it will be a lot of close combat so a Grey Knight heavy army might give you an edge in that department.

Re: 2000 points city fight, help please...
ok, so far, I have two options:
space marines with grey (grail) knight allies:
marines:
-master with jumpack, 2 claws, and iron halo
-2 dreadnoughts
-6 scouts all with sniper rifles
-an 8 men tactical in rhino with veteran, furios charge and one flamer
-a 7 men assault squad with furious charge veteran and fist
-a tornado land speeder
-a devastator squad with 3 missile launchers and a lascannon
- land raider crusader
GK:
-grand master with psycannon, and icon of the joust
-3 men terminator squad with incinerator
-6 men GK squad with psycannon and flamer
total: 1999 points.
and I have another one, this time, full GK:
-inquistor lord, with psycannon, power weapon and familiar
-retinue with 2 acolytes with storm bolter, 2 sages, combat servitor, and veterans with meltagun and plasmagun
-grand master as above
-4 terminators
-3 units of six GK, all with incinerator and psycannon
-2 dreadnoughts with assault cannon
-a crusader
-and the inquisitor have another land raider as a transport, altought I don't think they use it...
any new ideas will be very welcome.

Targeters allow you to pre-measure ranges before firing. Unfortunately models in Termie armor can't use Targeters. Not sure the reason why though.

Re: 2000 points city fight, help please...
well, after a while of deep meditation, I decide to go to battle with the next army:
-HQ: grand master with psycannon, icon of the joust and 4 terminator retinue
-troops: 5 units of 7 GK, all with flamer and psycannon
-heavy: 2 dreads with assault cannon, and a crusader.
later, I'll tell you the results of the battle.

Looks real good. Lots of in-close firepower. Do you have any idea what the Black Templar player will field? I know it's City Fight but I'm sure he might have an LRC or two himself so you may want to at least make sure your Justicars are loaded up with melta bombs.

Re: 2000 points city fight, help please...
well, the battle is now history...
and altought I tecnically lost, it was more a draw game...
allow me to tell you some battle higlights:
-firts, in the last minute, I decide to go without the crusader, and instead, I use 6 units of GK, all with flamer and psycannon, 2 with 8 men, and 4 with 7 men... Why? well, I forgot at home the case with the crusader... the leader of the army was Sir Sean Himself, in terminator armor, with his psycannon, icon of the joust and a 4 terminator retinue. heavy support: two GK dreads.
-the black templars go to battle with a master with jumppack, a chaplain, and of course, the emperor's champios... no tanks, but a land speeder, two dreads (one venerable) and lots of men. (he had at leats 30 models more than me... he use no tanks, and no terminators)
-the background... at the end, we decide taht it was just a friendly excercise between two old friends (and their armies!) who want to improve their battle skills...
-we use lots of buildings and barricades... no tank could move for the streets, and place the figures was difficult too.
-we use strategies (sorry, we have the book in spanish, and I don't know the right names in english) but it had little use.
-both armies were fearless, so, the fights were really to death!
-my best moment: when my men kill the chaplain, and when they destroy a dreadnought.
-my worst: when a squad with bolter kill in a single shot 3 of my terminators... (yes I roll 3 ones, when I need 2+!)
-at the end of the battle, I lost all my men, but only 5 black templars were alive: the master, the champion, and 3 men of the sword brethen
-Sean dies when a sergeant with a power fist hits him...
-the sword brethen was reduce to 3 men (they were 10)... it was an amazing fight against my last 8 men squad.
-my best men were the justicars and the psycannon guys: they kill 2 or 3 templars each turn.
-I notice that one of our biggest problems is the lack of HQ. Sean was alone, and altought he destroys two units himself, the templars had 3 HQ men, all with special gear.
-and I think that get a 3 dread is not a bad idea... also, the next time, I'll go to battle with more terminators.
-GK are very good in city fight. when is time to close combat, we rule, and only the dice can change that.

Good it was a close game.
I played at a tournament at saturday-sunday last week.
That's yesterday.
Lots of bashing, tons of losses and epic combats with 2 epic wins.
It was epic!

Sounds like it was a fun fight. It says a lot about GK's to be out-numbered that badly and still be able to make it that close in the end. Especially against an army as elite as Black Templars. Well-done SIRSEAN.
BTW: what vow did he take for the game?

well, in english, I don't know... and nor in spanish... but I know that the army was fearless, some units has furios charge, and he move towards the close enemy when a member of the squad die.

Ah, I was just wondering if he had taken the 'Abhor the Witch' vow as I had read a BT thread awhile back on how this vow could be used more effectively against GK's. You said he his army was Fearless. That was only for close combat morale right?
