Army Builder GK update

There is an army builder update file that includes the grey knight codex available on the lonewolf website.

Have you used it Brother?
I am not even sure what an army builder is

I tried to use army builder yesterday at my local store an they still had the old daemon hunters rules, hopefully they get the update soon.

In the past i've frequently worked with AB. Tomorrow, when i get my Notebook back, i'll download the New file and Fry him out.

@Constantine: AB is a programm for Army calculations. You can easyly check different combinations, save them and print them out. I like AB, but from time to time there are some minor errors in the different files. But Lonewolf releases bug fixes.

The vast majority of Big tournament goers print lists in army builder, as it's a common format everyone can read. You still have to do the math yourself too, as there can be little errors, but it's a great double check and tool for experimenting with lists.

All for a one time payment of $39.99. IMO brothers, I'm old school, I use scratch paper, pen and calculator. When it adds up, I transfer it to my GK comp book with ink pen. The AB is a great tool but for the price you pay for their should not be any errors.

I\'ve used it and so far its alright, even if it does only give you a +1 for NFW Falcions...

Hmm, i can´t find the file?! And automatic update also doesn´t show me an update for 40K. Can someone post a link for the new file, please?

These guys write the file, you can also download it direct from the site. You can download and import it even if you don't have an up to date AB license.

I've seen a couple floating around on the web but don't rate any of them myself. Mainly use a blank spreadsheet myself, that way I choose how it's laid out!

This is the option I use Brother!
1. I don't want to spend the money on something I can do myself
2. I like doing things like this myself

I've tried a few of the ones available free, and am normally let down.
I haven't used excel for years otherwise I'd try and set one up.

Has anyone else had any problems with the terminator and strike squads not calculating right? When I select a terminator squad it gives me 1 justicar and 1 terminator and then costs to add the extra terminators in. Reading the codex, it costs 200 for a squad of 5 terminators?

it works out...but it is set up to do each one individual since you can kit them out different...each one should only cost 40 points each so 5 will be 200...

It seems ok, I have built one 2000 pt list on it...will have to see if all the special powers ect...show up and make since...doesnt give the extra +1 for Inv Save for sword I noticed, also only +1 for falchions not +2, will let you know of others issues as i find them

The invulnerable boost is CC only or it would be worth taking, so its not really a flat out improvment to the save.

I've been using AB for a few years now I love it. Especially for casual games it makes list building a quick and easy process. There are occasional errors on it so you have to be careful. It's worth noting that the guys who build the 40k files do it for free(that's why GW hasn't come after them). You can purchase up to four liscenses for each copy of AB you buy so my friends and I just split the total cost four ways which makes it very affordable. After that you have to pay a small fee once a year to keep it up and running(I think it comes out to 10 or 12 dollars which isn't much when you split it 3 or 4 ways).

Good cost savings to put back into your army, brother. A true GK army leader would do no less.
