Oh wow these guys are much more lively than the CSM of today. The CSM of today are just regular SM with some extra horns or whatever, but these guys are totally different. Nice post on this on Brother Aubec!

I have to say though Aubec, I prefer the new eldar aspect warriors, the scorpions are pretty stunning, as are the rangers.

you're maybe right brother (though it could be argued Wink ) but for the guardians ... i think there no comparison at all : the new ones are so uniform compared to the old ones ...
and what is very impressive it's the fact that all those models have past 30 years without being outdated (some are still sold !!) affraid
i think that the eldars are the masterpiece of Jes Goodwin.

ok unless you want to see some old Orks ... i'll pass to the 1992 green catalogue for it's Space Marines ... though those are Space Wolfs, they are one of the best SM range ever sculpted (especially the PASM) ... make your opinion :
the wolfguard termies
http://solegends.com/citcat9x3/c92389wolfguard-01.jpg
the characters (with a beautiful Ulrik the Slayer !) and the grey hunters that are anatomically well balanced and adjustable because of the pose that you can give to the arms
http://solegends.com/citcat9x3/c92390spacewolves-01.jpg
the iron priest and servitors (i love the servitors ... for the inquisition Wink ) and the wolfguards in PA who are simply gorgeous !!
http://solegends.com/citcat9x3/c92391spacewolves-01.jpg
the long fangs and blood claws
http://solegends.com/citcat9x3/c92393bclawslongfangs-01.jpg

PS : if you want to see some orks tell me i'll dig further in the 1991 calatogue Wink

True Aubec, I missed out on buying some of those original jetbikes ages ago (the harlequin versions) and I also bought a heap of the harlequins at one point from special order. Sadly I traded them away over the years, but the models where great. I still have two painted somewhere!
