A light trim (1500 Point Army)

Having recently built an army of 1514 points for casual and semi-competitive play (Based on advice given on this forum! ). I need help adjusting unit upgrades and perhaps the Purifier squad and/or the HQ's to reach exactly 1500 as I am unsure what to trim or change.

I have a spare Land Raider, 5 more Purifiers with halberds, a Techmarine, another Rhino, the arms to change one dreadnought, a Brotherhood champion and a Brother Captain to work with but hopefully staying pretty close to this list is preferable. For example I want the Purifiers w/ OXI to remain a closer range/combat unit. I welcome any advice and comments gratefully.

Total:: 1514 points.

Maybe consider dropping the 40-points in psyammo. You'll then be left with 26-points. Exchange the incinerators for psycannons for your purifier squad and purchase (2) servo skulls for your OXI with remaining 6-points, Voila - 1500-points!

Thanks for responding Nineteen, I think there may be some confusion, the psybolt ammo is a 5 point upgrade giving me a total of only 25 points if I remove them. Also the Dreadnoughts and Razorbacks are greatly enhanced for those meagre 5 points a piece. If I were to remove some of the psybolt upgrades im not sure which would take priority...

If its a Choice between psybolts for the razorbacks or the dread I would keep them on the dreads , they make a better tank killer with some fortunate rolling, Bearing in mind with psybolts on it's a str 8 hit, on the grounds it's twin linked you will more often than not get a high enough score to be popping rhino/razorbacks and if you're fortunate glancing on LR etc
Also consider that now there are hull points if you glance enough you can wreck the big vehicles Such as theLR and monoliths
The hvy bolter does not pack the same punch IMHO

sorry, I assumed the psybolt ammo was for the strike squad and not the razorback, lol

Do you need hammers on both strike squads? They're (I guess) fire support anyway. Lose one MC Hammer and you're sorted.



Can't touch this.

How about reducing all the hammers from MC to normal? Or is that defeating the purpose?

Also I am unsure how effective that purifier squad will be and whether the points could be better spent.
