Every cloud has a silver lining?
I know that many people are upset with the changes that the AOS release has brought.
But as the thread topic suggests, there are always positives if you look close enough.
After seeing the scale of the Stormcast it appears that they are 40K terminator size.
As such, IMHO the celestant figures could provide an amazing platform from which to sculpt epic GKT characters.
The conversions would be relatively simple... Swap shoulder pads, add a storm bolter/psycannon/Incinerator, swap weapons or keep hammers, and voila!
What are your thoughts?

they are a bit taller than terminators
i painted them for our store and can show you now one of the WIP pictures (since its no longer "confidential" )
especially the retributors and characters are bigger.
but they are great models. especially the kits outside the starter box. alot of bits that you can use for awesome conversions.

So my hunch was correct!!! Look at all of those Mordraks!!!
Very exciting!
I am actually throwing around the idea of making a chess set with the AOS figures.
But more importantly.....
Keeping secrets from your brothers?!!!
Report to the chamber of clensing immediately!!!!

I agree with you, Brothers. At least the new models are not something to complain about. They are far away from the standard fantasy stile, but look very good for 40K players. You mention Mordrak, but I see Paladins

I see sigmarines.
But yeah, they seem to be a great start for true scale space marines. Or a different take on terminators.
All in all, GW produce nice models. Nothing new here.
What they expect us to do with those models i have no clue about, but i'll probably never touch them. Unless i get a cool idea that one of them would suit as a base for.
But ya, the silver lining shines strong for us knightly brethren, which is indeed fitting.

Brother Souba,
I know this is a lot to ask. But Is there any chance that you could share pics that show the scale of all the AOS models?
