1650 Highlander Tournament List

Hey Brothers,

Not posted in a long time... 2012 apparently!

Well now I'm back with the Emperors finest chapter.

I've played imperial fists, space wolves & blood angels, after spending loads money it has to be Grey Knights for me so I'm off to a tournament soon.

What do you think on this list?

Seems pretty solid. Only questions I would ask is how is some of your infantry moving around? I am assuming your paladins are sitting with Kaldor so they can use his Gate to get around. Same for libby/terminators (hoping you roll Gate?).

That leaves the purifiers. Are they riding in the Raven or slogging?

Also 1 Dreadknight on his own will get focused hard. Maybe he will be ok if you keep him with the paladins as they are double threats, but bare it in mind. If your paladins get focused over the Dreadknight then your laughing cause paladins can take a hell of a beating. Just remember to take the insta-gib strength weapons on Draigo!

The Libby goes depending on rolled powers, I tempted to put him with Draigo backed up with Santuary.

If I get GofI which is a good chance he can go with the Terminators or a mate suggested maybe even the purifiers.

The Purifiers go in the Stormraven and I'll take my chances with jink etc.

Just nice to be playing Grey Knights again, I've got Blood Angels, Wolves & Imperial Fists but they're just not Grey Knights.

Anyway fingers crossed & I always have the option to deep strike everything & hide Draigos unit & Dreadknight out of line of sight.

Purifiers in the Raven could be good. Not sure I would want to put the librarian with them if you are doing that though cause that is an ML3 guy not casting anything for a couple turns.

If you wanna go full deathstar mode and put him with the paladins then maybe consider rolling something other than santic, like divination to make them even scarier. Just bare in mind that is proper deathstar so will attract a lot of attention and will cripple your army if it gets taken out. If you put him with the regular termies, it can still work even if you dont roll GWoI. You can stick them in reserve and Nemesis Strike Force allows you to roll your reserves on turn 1. Also you have a 1/6 chance to roll a warlord trait on the libby that allows him and his unit to DS on turn 1 automatically. You cant rely on that ofc but its worth baring in mind.

You don't want your paladins appearing out of sight and playing defensively. You want to shove them down your opponents throat. That is where they belong.

Yeah Im going with the Libby with the termi or paladins.

I play tested the list v my mates Tau & it was a face smashing by the Grey Knights & also narrowly scraped a win v my mates white scars thanks to vortex of doom & some good heavy psycanon blasts! 👍
