back into 40k with 1500pts of GKs - V2 Empty back into 40k with 1500pts of GKs - V2

Hi - I posted an initial 1000pt list over in the other bit of the forum, but the guys recommended that I would have more versatility with 1500pts, so here is a revised list. Its under 1500, so any help would be welcome:

HQ
Librarian (daemonhammer & 6E psychic rules)

TROOPS
5 termis (4 daemonhammer, psybolt ammo & psycannon)
5 termis (4 daemonhammer, psybolt ammo & psycannon)
5 termis (4 daemonhammer, psybolt ammo & psycannon)

HS
Dreadknight (incinerator, greatsword, transporter & psybolt ammo)

which leaves me with about 100pts left over

IMHO the Libby is better off without the hammer. He's only 2 wounds so protection is what he needs. I usually leave him with the sword which turns his 5+ Invul into a 4+ in CC. Same goes for the Termies, so it may not be a bad idea to mix the hammers and swords depending on what your facing. Takes those 5 points and give your Libby Psybolt Ammo as well.

Also I'm more fond of the codex powers then the BRB powers. Don't get me wrong Divination is just beastly when it comes to buffs. But I think we need to take advantage of out Codex Powers while we can before 6th edition removes them. Might of Titan, Warp Rift, Sanctuary, The Shrouding, Quicksilver, are a great catch all powers.

But if your set on the BRB powers then I'd recommend simply giving a couple of your squads a 6th Termie. Then giving your Libby 3 Servo skulls so you can Deep Strike them and the Dreaknight in with better accuracy. The Libby goes with the squad that has only 5 Terminators thus becoming their 6th man.

Thanks - I have about 90pts left over now. There's not much more i can buy in terms of termis - 2 at the most. Would it be worth adding another HQ - maybe an OM Inquisitor in termi armour with a combi-weapon?

Another tip is to magnetized the weaponry on the Terminators, being able to equip them with a mixture of halberds, hammers, swords, and staves would bring versatility to your units.

Also consider saving 20 points by combining one squad to a 10-man unit and purchasing psybolt ammunition. You can then combat squad them into two 5-man squads if you wish.

Lastly, you could save a world of points if you take Coteaz over a Librarian if you want to use the BRB psychic power.

It may then be possible to finagle your points around to add a Dreadnought with twin-linked autocannons equipped with psybolt ammunition. This will help fight against tanks.and flyers.

yep, I can go for:

Librarian as before keeping psychic powers rather than BRB ones (but just one servo)

2x10 termis (so i can combat attach into 4x5)
dreadknight
dread - as you suggested

with some pts left over for upgrades
