1500pts developing Army
Hi Brother,
Decided to fully concentrate on my Grey Knights for tournament play, so going to hopefully do a bit of play testing and develop my list from that.
Played this tonight:
Ordo Malleus Inquisitor with 3x servo skulls, Psyker, Terminator Armour, Nemesis Daemonhammer, Psycannon

10x Grey Knight Strike Squad with 2x Psycannon, 7x Nemesis Force Halberd, 1x Daemonhammer
10x Grey Knight Terminator Squad with Brotherhood Banner, 2x Nemesis Force Daemonhammer, 7x Nemesis Force Halberd, Psybolt Ammunition, 2x Psycannon
Nemesis Dreadknight with Heavy Incinerator , Nemesis Doomfist and Greatsword, Personal Teleporter

AGAINST
Dark Eldar with a lot of splinter cannons, 2x ravagers and 2 Razorwing with missiles.
Well I feel like a noob, he seized the initiative and shot my 2 NDK down, I quickly found that because I only had 24" shots, he just "Kited" ( stayed at 30"+) for 4 turns and I ended up with no models on the board . Yeah I need long range shooting .
so for our rematch, I plan to maybe try this:
Coteaz
10x Strike squad with 2x Psycannon, Psybolt ammo, 1x Daemonhammer, 4x Halberd, 3x Sword
5x Terminators with 1x Psycannon, 1x Daemonhammer, 4x Halberd
5x Terminators with 1x Psycannon, 1x Daemonhammer, 4x Halberd
Stormraven with Multi-melta, assault cannon

Dreadnought with 2x autocannon, psybolt ammo
Dreadnought with 2x autocannon, psybolt ammo
So I'll put the terminators in the storm raven and the strike squad+Coteaz+PsyDreads will hold the backfield.
Any thoughts?

I\'ve found Terminators and Palladins are a bad match-up against DE.
Ravens are a good option as his lance weapons get no benefit against armour 12. Psydreads are always invaluable, and incinerators will instakill their troops (put them on Interceptors to get in range). To deal with his range and skimmers you might use Psybacks.

How you get 8 unsaved wounds on your DKs in turn 1 ?
no cover or LOS blocking terrain?
If u place everything spread out and walk through midfield. he only can avoid your shots 2 turns max.
Although what Dominatrix said. Think you re good with the second list. I ld try and swap the Terminators for SS.

I know 8 unsaved wounds! Abismal isn't it?
Well what happened is I was supposed to get 1st turn so as an idiot, I was thinking shunt the NDK up and take something out but he rolled a 6 and seized the initiative.
Then the 3x raider splinter cannons+3x splinter cannons inside raiders+1x ravager with 2 splinter cannons and 1 desintegrator cannon+3x venom with 2 splinter cannons each, all shot at the 2 NDK
That's 84 shots hitting on 3s wounding on 4s plus the AP 2 thing, add to that my ability to roll 1s and they died.....
Happy with dropping the Termies, but I have to keep in mind that I wont just be playing DE.
Having second thoughts on the Stormravens as they are Flyers and so start in reserve
Defo keeping the Psydreads though, Psybacks are a good idea would they not be a bit too easy to kill for "First Blood" though?

As much as I like your list, I feel that venerable Dreads are just not worth it any more due to the fact that they have hull points
You're putting in 60 extra points per ven dread (120 total!).
Another thing to consider is that the Great Sword's effectiveness is debatable. Having two nemesis doom fists is just as good and cheaper too!
Instead of running 2 Venerable Dreads, why not run 1 regular psyfleman and a Vindicare Assassin? Or even two Vindicares?
Another thing I always felt is that 10 Man SS with Psy Ammunition in a Rhino might be better than a Razor back. There would be more storm bolters benefiting from the upgrade, and since you can only have a maximum of 2 Psycannons they could shoot out of the fire points. Against DE its more than likely they're going to pop your vehicles turn 1. But then again Your DK's are quite distracting.
Try out the list the way you have it, and if it works great!

As volvoe said, except u cant use 2 vindicares
U save 60 points on venerable, 50 if u swap 1 ven with an vindicare. ~70 points if u lose the swords, 60 if u lose the psyammo (psyammo is good but as volvoe said, build 10 man squads).
That gives u 240 points . We re an elite army but we also need numbers. That is a whole squad of smthg else. Rebuild your SS or add an Terminatorsquad... so many points

Brothers,
I think you will find that the psybolt ammo is for the razorbacks to make the TLHB str 6 for 5pts a tank. No ammo on the squads.

I see what u mean by the ven dreads, would 1 normal one and a vindicare be enough as a replacement thought? I do apologise for the confusion, I should of made it clearer that the Psybolt ammo is indeed on the Razorbacks and not on the squads, my bad...

vindis are weak in 6th ed, everything can look out sir
