1500 Point List
Brothers,
I have been playing with this 1500 point list and I have been thinking about taking it to my first ever tournament in a few weeks. I would like some feedback from you more experienced and capable Grey Knight generals.
HQ:
Librarian - Sword, Warp Rift, Shrouding, Might of Titan, psybolt ammo
Troops:
Terminators x10 - 2 psycannon, 2 hammer, 2 sword, 6 halberds, psybolt ammo
Strike Squad x10 - 2 psycannon, 2 hammer
Razorback w/TLHB and psybolt ammo
Strike Squad x5 - Hammer
Razorback w/TLHB and psybolt ammo
Vindicare Assassin
Land Raider
Psybolt ammo
So the basic idea is that the 10 man terminator squad can combat squad during deployment. One group will be a more shooty element with both psycannons and the other a more assault style squad which the libby can tag along with. The 5 man strike squad will start outside the land raider and hop in turn 1, sitting back in its AV14 shell and being a tough scoring unit/fire box. The 10 man Strike Squad will combat squad, half going in each Razorback and the Vindicare is a bit more ranged firepower to help out the land raider with supporing fire. A hammer in each squad helps with any tough units that try to tie up. Not sure how the footslogging terminator squad will work, but it's been doing ok so far in testing. Any suggestions on how to improve the list or any changes to any of the units? I look forward to hearing from you brothers!

Re: 1500 Point List
I like your list. Well-balanced vs. all comers. IMO, the 5 pts for the libby's psybolt ammo might be better used on another power.
Let us know how the tournament goes!

Re: 1500 Point List
I would change the 5 man squad in for puriefiers and give them halberds, the points can come from the psybolts on the land raider and the lib if necessary.
This would not require you to change the models you already have (just the weapons on 4 men)
Good luck

Re: 1500 Point List
I think you would do better to switch out the psybolt ammo on the Libby for another power as suggested by brother Rivan (I'd pick Sanctuary) but other than that it's very solid list at 1500 pts.

Re: 1500 Point List
Is your LR a Godhammer or another type of LR ?
if it's a LRGH or a LRR ... you can maybe keep the Psy ammo for the assault cannon but if it's a LRC note that the hurricanes of the LRC are not a defensive weapon anymore with the psy ammo.

Re: 1500 Point List
Agree that Sanctuary would be a great power to add (one of my favorites).
Another suggestion I want to add is possibly swapping the Vindicare out for a psyfleman dread. I love the vindicare too but at the 1500pt level, I don't think you'll see a lot of AV14 tanks. The godhammer LR plus your psycannons should be good enough for this purpose. The psyfleman dread is actually much better against AV12 or less and is probably more resilient. I'm just thinking you might get more out of the 135 pt dreadnought. Just my two cents.

Re: 1500 Point List
Thank you all for the suggestions and comments so far. The Land Raider is indeed a standard godhammer varient and I do agree that if I were running a LRC psybolt ammo would be a bad investment. The vindicare could be better served as a psyfleman dread, but I'll have to get my hands on some autocannon arms before the tournament in order to do that. In testing, the vindicare has been lights out against vehicles (mainly AV13 Necron vehicles with the shields) but I'm always open to trying new things. I only added the psybolt ammo to the librarian becasue the terminator squad I'd be joining him to has psybolt ammo, but I found I'm trying to use Warp Rift more than I am shooting his stormbolter so that could be another few points I can save. Also will try adding in Sanctuary and see how it works out. Thanks for everything so far, it is greatly appreciated!

Re: 1500 Point List
So, I went to the tournament but was not able to play my Grey Knights (a friend wanted to go and his Tyranid army wasn't ready to go) so I played my Tau instead. Needless to say it was rough as my opponents were Thunderwolf Cavalry Spacewolves, dual lash CSM, and mech Necrons. The day seemed to get worse the more games I played and any mistakes with Tau are not very forgiving! Even though I didn't win any games or get to play my Grey Knights, I learned a lot and met some nice people. Sorry I couldn't bring back a better report or get to try out my Grey Knights, but my enjoyment in the hobby has been cemented!
