Need opinions on my 750 points starter army

Hey Brothers !

I´ve started 40k again and like the new Grey Knights. So i bought the codex and want you to coment my planned starter list.

i allready got a captain stern model (useable for many HQs), a terminator squad, a GK squad and a Razorback

Planned list:

OM inqui + terminator armor + psicannon + 3 servoskulls = 89 P.

5 Terminators + psicannon + banner = 250 P. (going with the Inqui)

5*GK + psicannon + hammer + Razorback + (Lasercannon+Plasma) + Dozer = 205 P.

5*GK + psicannon + hammer + Razorback + (Lasercannon+Plasma) + Dozer = 205 P.

= 749 points

i am not sure if i have enough firepower to kill tanks but with 750 points i dont expect many of them.
was thinking to deepstrike the terminators with HQ if neccessary.

Welcome to the forum!

The banner on the GKT is a bit of a waste IMO, but apart from that it looks like a good starting point.
If you worried about AT as you play with more points add a Psyfleman dread or two.

Agree w/ Zealadin. For a 5 man squad, you don't get much out of a banner. And psycannons work very well against tanks once you have the range.

Updated my list a bit for my new Stormraven. u think a SR is viable for 750 p game ?
And what weapons do you chose for a SR? Psiammo for a stormcannon is another 20 points. i like plasmacannons but i hate scattering.
btw.: Does twinlinked give any bonus to scattering weapons?

Stormraven, Plasmacannon, MM = 205 points
5 Terminators + psicannon = 225 points
5 GKSS + Hammer + Psicannon + RB + Psi ammo = 170 points
1 IOM + termi + psicannon = 80 points
Paladin = 55 points

Idea is to charge with the Termis+IOM and go hunt with the SR after disembark. GKSS holding mid and Paladin DSs for contesting.
problem is the low troop count i think...

I m building it right now and would like some tipps for weaponry

Twin linked for the plasma cannon allows you to re-roll your scatter dice. It's not bad. If you're turbo boosting all over the place to get that 4+ cover save, you'll be firing only 1 weapon. I prefer the twin linked lascannon for higher S and longer range.

My tip for the SR: magnetize the turret weapons. I´ve done the same for my three SR.

I agree with dark bjoern it would be 100% worth it to hold on the construction until you can get your weapons magnetized.
