Hi from Oz
Hi all,
I've just teleported in from a place called the Blue Mountains about 70km west of Sydney.
I've been playing 40k (and other games) for a long time and have 7 40k, 3 WHFB and 4 WarmaHordes armies at present. I've had more but sold or traded them.
Lately I'm pruning down the armies to a manageable amount and trying to have less armies but use them better.
In WHFB I liked the Ogre Kingdoms (big models, easier to paint, lower model count etc). Even though I don't play those anymore, the concept translated to... Draigowing! A typical list is:
Draigo
Librarian; sanctuary; might etc.
10 Paladins with different weapons to spread the wounds around + max psycannons/bolt
5 paladins similar to above.
The big unit usually runs together with the HQ's but it can be combat squadded or split with a HQ each depending on missions.
17 models gives a lot of time to paint them well, and they are so easy to transport! They also do quite well most of the time. Anyway, I'm off to steal some of your ideas

Cripes. That's a boatload of armies you've got there. Good to see a player from Australia that can still afford to play GW stuff. Welcome aboard.

Re: Hi from Oz
I do try to buy as little GW as possible for the obvious reasons, but the 2nd hand market and alternate mini companies are booming!
