Hey what's up fellow grey knights, I'm glad to join your ranks!

First the facts:
Birthday: 28/01/1986
Nationality: Belgian
Location: near Antwerp
Job: IT-consultant (mainly .NET programming) since about 10 months

Then the story (the Warhammer 40k related bits anyway):
I started playing Warhammer 40k a year and 9 months ago, starting out as a Tau player. Collected a good 1500 point mechanised army with lots of battle suits + a few extra's that didn't get used much (read: special characters, kroot, vespid,...)
I mostly play at my local games workshop in Antwerp, Belgium, and mostly against my brother in law, who chose chaos space marines and started the hobby at the same time I did. Gave my Tau a run for their money.
Then unfortunately 2 months and a half ago my car was stolen. Guess what was left in the trunk after an evening of gaming... Correct, my proper 1500 point army + templates + rulebooks + dice...

I had been thinking about starting a new army, which is also the reason I didn't just buy new Tau units to rebuild my old army. I had heard quite a bit about the new grey knights, and also heard they're easy on the wallet to start, since the units are quite pricey in points. Started off by buying the units that looked coolest, or the ones I had real trouble against their chaos counterparts, first I bought me a Terminator box and a Stormraven, followed by a Nemesis Dreadknight and a Landraider. Suddenly I discovered I had no real HQ and only one small troop squad, so I turned my 5 Terminators into a Librarian and 4 Paladins, and bought me 2 boxes of regular grey knights, to form 2 Strike Squads.

I've not much experience playing with them, but have done a lot of thinking and reading about them. About 50% of what I read came from the greyknights forumotion, so I decided to make an account, and present my case. Besides this topic I've also one where I wrote out my current army list in short, and I hope to gain some nice insights there.

Well, having your old army stolen might not be the best way to start Grey Knights but welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you made a good start, and with a few PAGK or GKT boxes you'll have a fully fledged force.
I'd recommend only taking 5 man paladin squads so you can get their heavy weapons, and try and keep PAGK in 10 man squads unless you have a razor transport.
GK are pretty good, but still die like normal marines, although the Lib can give you a real edge!
