A Diversified Pure Grey Knight List
Hail Battle Brother!
After reading many weeks of reading several posts throughout our forum I've tried very hard to come up with a diversified list that would incorporate synergy among the different units, as well as help me to develop strategies between the different scenarios I will face on the battlefield.
My initial strategy is:
1. GS - Choose either Hammer of Righteous or Shield of Blades for Anihilation
Choose Unyielding Anvil for Seize Ground or Capture and Control
2. GM will join the GKT unit
3. NDK and Purgation will support GKT unit.
4.. Purifiers will support Dreadnaught
I welcome your feedback please.
HQ
(190) GM (MC NFS, Rad)
TROOPS
(100) 5-Man GKSS
(475) 10-Man GKT (2-DH, 2-PsyC, 5-Halb, BB)
ELITE
(181) 5-Man Purifier (DH, PsyC, 3-Halb, Rhino)
HEAVY SUPPORT
(151) Dreadnaught (2-TLAC, Heavy Flamer, PsyAmmo, PsyFlame Ammo, Searchlight)
(170) NDK (Heavy Incinerator, DH)
(225) 5-Man Purgation (DH, 4-PsyC, Rhino)
TOTAL
1497

it seems to me that you have too much support... i'll change the purgation squad for GKIS for mobility and versatility. As you want to make a diversified list, it will be for your own good.
you have 2 (or 3 in splitting) troops ... it could be just for objective scenario but with GS you could choose another unit as operational.
a good list anyway

Thanks Brother Aubec!
So if I dismiss my Purgation Squad, I can then replace them with a 5-Man Squad of Interceptors (DM, PsyC, and 3-Halberds).
This leaves me with 63-Points left over.
With those points I can assign a Rhino to my SS.
Then Upgrade my NDK's DH to a Great Sword.
And finally add Digital Weapons for my GM.
With 3-Points leftover.
Does this sound more appealing?
What does it mean to have a unit as operational?

your dreadnought appears to have 2 TL auto cannons, which is good. It the NDF is replaced with a TL autocannon it loses the stormbolter and thus the option to upgrade the SB to a HF. As such you've made an illegal choice. From the point you save from not having the HF I would upgrade both rhino's to razor backs, with psybolts if you have the points.
Also personal choice but I prefer the NGS over the NDH on the NDK. It's already a S6 monstrous creature with a force weapon, the NDH doesn't give it much more, where as all the re-rolls from the NGS....

Thanks Brother Itsuperslug for your keen eyes!
My next question is this.
Becuase the Rhino holds 10 models and the Razorback only six, if I purchase (2) razorback models kits, can I "magnetize" components to allow the models to be either a Rhino or Razorback depending on my list(s)?
If I subtract my GM upgrades and exchange the Rhinos for Razorbacks, I am left with 33-points left over. I'm 2-points shy of upgrading one Razorback with a TLAC!
I'm sure I could finagle those 2-points out a troops halberd upgrade
Or would it best to place the TLAC on both RB?
Or just keep the HBs and add Psyammo to boost the STR?

the razorback kit is the same price as the rhino kit, in the UK at least!
the only difference, physically, between the 2 kits is the RB has an additional turret in it. You don't need to magnatise, just don't glue the top hatch/ turret onto the chassis

Re: A Diversified Pure Grey Knight List
Since your squads will fit anyway, I would definitely recommend the Razorbacks (for only 5 more points). They give you more independent shooters and can effectively engage enemy transports/light vehicles (with the psybolts). I personally do not find the assault cannon upgrade worth the 35 points (for 12" less range, 1 more shot, 1 more point of strength and rending) You want to be able to kill those pesky Vipers/Land Speeders/Destroyers as they zip around you.
Along a similar line, I have used the Halberds on interceptor squads and found them to not be worth the points. If they're vehicle hunters, let them do that with krak grenades or hammerhand. They don't have enough attacks to use effectively against infantry.
As usual, my opinions/observations and reasoning. If you prefer the rhino then go for it. I do like the diversified approach, gives you more tools for specific enemies, just make sure that you're using your strengths against their weaknesses.
