Re: Cosplay : examples of "geekiness" !!
Just thought about my idea to build a techpriest suit.
The halberd would be 2 metres long and made from steel
Kapow!

I could be really happy if I see a live version of this techpriest:

Now as you can see, this is all hardcore
I shouldn't even be posting this kind of naughty stuff, imagine if i put it up on a adeptus mechanicus forum, they would like choke on their testosterone or something

I've seen them in a vid on youtube.
They are doing bad humour in chineese.
Saint is very impressive though.
Here they are BTW.

We need Marvel to take on a 40K movie so that we can see some really awesome costumes.......
I am hopeful about the grey knight project over on the inquisitor website, there is some fantastic CG work going on there.
I love seeing 40K stuff in different mediums.

I didn't know BC Alaric was Chinese, the books can only give you some discription... just kidding. The US, the other asian countries and Europe has been put in second place. I've seen youtube teenagers use wooden frames and paper mache to create a SM power armor. Epic fail. I'm going to try toothpicks and popsicle sticks, glue and green stuff. If anything goes wrong it'll be a Castellan Crowe pinata.

Re: Cosplay : examples of "geekiness" !!
You know if you would actually try that it wouldn't even properly hold its own weight?
And be expensive as heck.

On that side, they use a method that seems like the best.
The one i would use myself, called paper craft.
You make your stuff out of thick paper.
Then add strong glass fibers to it.
Very light, exactly as you want it and comparably cheap. Perhaps not. But it seems simpler than the wooden frames and stuff i've seen.
The method i would use.
The armour would probably even work to some extent vs knifes
Here's BFX (backyard effects) doing an armour.

Hope i didn't give too many people stupid ideas

As long as they don't make BA Sanguinus art armor with wings and jump off the nearest 10 floor/level building. The pinnacle of bad ideas. Hey, I throw out my disclaimer and I am not responsible for any injuries or deaths. Check out, http://www.darwinawards.com/
