Heya

I forgot to do this when i started on this forum so i'll do it now. Grey Knights were the only army i've ever wanted to play, I'm a huge fan of the elite marine concept and the grey knights are the epitome of that. I started playing them when they first came out in 3rd ed and i managed to go 19-0-1 with them over all. I generally write a lot of lists until i find that magic sweet spot for myself and even then i don't stop. I find it's fun to visualize a battle with different types of lists and try to counter popular lists from other armies.

With 3rd Ed, I only managed a 68% winning ratio and that's with a dual raider list

Well I had a comp list which I listed and a fun list with dual raiders..

I did well until 5th ed cme out and I saw blood angels. So I took a break until our new dex popped.

Ok so my comp list was as follows and i'm going off of memory here.

Now my tactic was generally the same, take huge advantage of the shrouding and field with termi's on the table. I would use the normal dreadknought for screening for my termi's (which the GM had joined) and use them to intercept squads that got a little too close to my fire base.
More often then not i could wipe out units as they closed to get in a better firing range against the shrouding.

Oh that's 2k and my 1.5k army was the same minus a GK squad and termi squad is cut down to 6M and i think i did something with one of the dreads can't quite remember.

one remark though ... we didn't have the option of the venerable in 3d ed...
except with a SM ally ... ?

I believe it was in a faq or 4th ed were it stated that all marines had access to venerable dreads.
