1st attempt @1750pts solid/competitive
Hi Brothers,
This is my ruff version of a solid/competitive 1750pts list:
HQ:
Corteaz - 100
Elite: 540
8x Purifiers w/2x psycannons, 4x halberds, 2x hammer, Rhino - 270
8x Purifiers w/2x psycannons, 4x halberds, 2x hammer, Rhino - 270
Troop: 380
6x Death Cult Assassin, 4x Crusader, Rhino - 190
6x Death Cult Assassin, 4x Crusader, Rhino - 190
4x Jokaero, Chimera - 195
Heavy: 535
Dread Knight + Sword + Gatling Psylencer +Personal Teleporter - 265
Dread + 2 x TL Assault Cannon + Psybolts - 135
Dread + 2 x TL Assault Cannon + Psybolts - 135
Total: 1750
Purifiers = extra threat
Death Cult Assassin = Death to unit they charge
Dread Knight = fast threat
Dreads = long range
Still unsure about the Jokaero's, they will be with Cortez providing additional long range fire support from the Chimera for AV 12 as it has 5 fire points and Cortez giving them "I've been expecting you". Also could hold own objective in those type of games.
Any thoughts/ideas/advice

@Madbakery, thanks for the input brother, however, you can only have a max of 3 servitors with multi-melta I could put some plasma cannons in there but at BS 3 the shot might scatter quite a bit.

Looks like a good list to play. I'm not big on the Jokaero though. For the price of them you could field a Stormraven. Since you're all about close combat in this list, the addition of at least one assualt vehicle may help. Just a thought.

@NemesisForce, thanks, I see what you mean, I was just trying to get over the lack of long range weapons problem we face. I know the dreads are in the list but I'm unsure if that's enough. I like the idea of the Stormraven but I'd rather have 2 as 1 might be too easy to shoot down. 195pts-ish but what to do with those points......

Anybody have any other ideas for those 195pts instead of the Jokaeros?

Re: 1st attempt @1750pts solid/competitive
I would drop the psycannons from the purifiers, take psybolt and add 2 more halbred troops. I would drop all the nonsense from the Dreadknight because he will be killed with the quickness and at 265 thats too expensive for a shunt punch model/target dummy.
I would also consider a brotherhood champion to make your close combat purifiers more durable.
I wouldn't worry anbout long range you want to get in peoples faces and be within 24" at all times with your troops that is where we are the most effective.

Re: 1st attempt @1750pts solid/competitive
Hi all,
Thanks for all the suggestions, I've changed it a bit:
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
HQ: 155
Malleus Inquisitor, Hellrifle, 3x Servo-Skulls ,Psychic Communion/Hammerhand - 79
Malleus Inquisitor, Hellrifle, 2x Servo-Skulls ,Psychic Communion/Hammerhand - 76
Elite: 880
8x Purifiers w/2x psycannons, 4x halberds, 1x hammer, Rhino - 265
8x Purifiers w/2x psycannons, 4x halberds, 1x hammer, Rhino - 265
5x Death Cult Assassin, 4x Crusader, Rhino - 175
5x Death Cult Assassin, 4x Crusader, Rhino - 175
Troop: 450
5x Terminators + 3x Halberd + 1x Daemon Hammer + 1x Psycannon - 225
5x Terminators + 3x Halberd + 1x Daemon Hammer + 1x Psycannon - 225
Heavy: 265
Dread Knight + Sword + GP +PT - 265
Total: 1750
So the DCA are basically bodyguards for the Inquisitors who will be shooting the Hellriffles from the top hatches. Servo Skulls to stop infiltrators and with the modified Reserve rolls from the Psychic Communions I should be able to get the Termies where I need them. Anyway, better? worse? start again?
Also I might change the Dreadknight for Psyflemen Dreads...

Are you not slightly worried about enemy tanks?

I am a bit worried about tanks yes, the hellrifle is S6 Rending so could (big could here) pen AV 14. The Purifiers only have 7 weapons because the Knight of Flame is naked as he'll be the first to die if I peril of the warp.

In the end taking everybodies ideas on will take you in circles as people have different preferences.
Let's start with a/t. I'm planning on having atleast 16 pyscannon shots per turn from turn 1.
What I suggest for your purifiers is to max them, add 2 more pyscannons to each unit.
I think coteaz will be more useful than your inquisitors because it will double your troop choices.
Also I'd drop the rhinos on the purifiers and use the henchmens rhinos as mobile cover. This will allow u add pyscannons.

I agree with stormknight I think that you should use Coteaz instead of the second Inquisitor! If you use him in one of your DCA squads his hammerhand ability makes them all plus one strength (maybe the crusaders might even kill somthing) and as stormknight mentioned they count as troops.
I would also stick to the DK. They are more fun to play and it will draw alot of fire away from your terminator squads! But in saying that I feel that although I find Psyfledreads boring to play with they are very competitive, and fill a hole in your list of tankhunters! Overall I like the list, I think it could do quite well against all comers!

In your list I would say the DreadKnight would serve better as two Psyfleman dreads.
You could also optimise your list a bit with Coteaz, and some more troop choices, such as some melta since you lack anti tank.
I don't think the hexrifle is really worth the bother.
Rad grenades also have the same effect as HH on an Inq which is worth considering if they are in with DCA, although you need a delivery system.
