The 750pts douples tournament
Yo,we finally got the tournament done I'm here to descripe the battle for you guys(For our army lists there is a topic in the army lists section)
So we set out at 7:40,the tournament starting 9:00 and the drive to the shop taking approximately an hour so we would have about 20mins to look what the boards looked like,discuss with other people qand most importantly determine how many different armys were there.

Unfortunately I forgot the camera at home and I think its batterys were low anyway so unfortunately I don't have any pics.So onto the first round.We got to play the only Tau player in the whole tourney and his partner with beutifully painted Biel Tan(don't know how you write that) Eldar army.Theyr lists from memory.

The terrain was allmoust non-existant as we played on a desert board.It had a group of 3 small hill on the center of the left side,with some dryid up trees on our side of the board and small rock cluster on his side.In the center there was 2 buildings that very connected by an elaborate walkway,but we agreed that the 2 were different buildings,but troops could move from one to another by the walkway.On the right side was absolutely nothing that blocked LoS and only had a moderate hill and some barricades in the middle.We rolled off and got Pitched Battle and Anhinilation.(If your wondering this tourney ran a random set up and game modes)I was uneasy that our first battle was an anhinilation one,because I'd say thats by far where our lists are weakest at because our assaulty force can easily be cut off from our footsloggers and then after our CC would have been killed off,my footslogger would be easy pickings for a mobile force or a long range one.Kati on the other had was pleased as anhinilation was her favorite game type(as she wouldn't need to think about objectives only about killing,killing and killing).We deployed first,with moust of our forces deploying behind the ruins on our part of the board with my Plaques,CSM and the Rhino with her lord and a squad of berzerkers while her other Rhino went to the right and my lord and biker to the left.They deployed with the Tau on our right and litle to the center and with the Eldar moustly in the center and litle on our left.So we rolled and got to go first,our opponents tried to steal the initiavite(don't know how to write that eather) but failed with a roll of 4.The Primary Objective:Kill Points Secondary:Kill the enemys most expencive unit(from each army you could get 1+ point,so for me it was my CSM and for Kati it would be her 10 man Berzerkers)Tertiary:Have your HQ survive
Our Turn 1:
Kati races her right rhino as far forward as she can and then pops smoke,her other rhino coming from behind our sides building,moving forward as well,but staying behing the other building to get cover from the Tau.My Plaque Marines go into the Building and to the walkway,slowly moving towards the other building,with my normal CSM going behind the rhino.My Bikers and lord turbo-boosted up to the face of the Eldar Wave Serpent.The center rhino shot its twin-linked bolter at one of the Tau Firewarrior squads and actually killed 1 Firewarrior.There was no other shooting.
Theyr Turn 1:
The Tau player put all his Fire warriors on top of a hill on his DZ who had a good viev to my normal CSM and my Plaques.He moved his Kroot and Stealthies towards theyr building looking for a way to force me to make a choice between slaughtering his kroot and stealths or his Fire warriors.The Suits pretty much stood were they were.The Eldar drove up his Falcon and shot at the center rhinos side,doing absolutely nothing.The wave serpent actually moved only a litle,shooting the Bike squad doing nothing.The Tau players suits shot at the Rhino that had popped smoke and only managed to shake it with a glance.The game was not starting well for our friends here.Guardian Jetbikes move with the Vypers near my CSM.
Our Turn 2:
I moved my footsloggers up,my normal CSM hiding now behind theyr building and my Plaques being now in the middle of the walkway.The center rhino move out in the open and goes as close to the 3 Fire Warrior squads as possible,popping smoke.The right most rhino moves up and is allmoust at the face of the Broadside(I think that the Tau player made a big error here as he had moved the Broadside so much forward).My Plaques and CSM took some shot against the Kroot squad and score 2 kills,plasma gun Gets Hot,but the wound is saved.My Lord uses his combi-melta on the Wave Serpent missing entirely then the meltagunner shoots,scores a penetrating and a wrecked result.His guardians bail out and are assaulted immidiatly after,the lord killing 2,the other bikers killing also 2 and the Guardian get one bike in return.I was quite sure the Eldar would run for it,but held with a roll of snake eyes.

The Tau move the Fire Warriors Squads back,but its clear that one of 'em is in assault range from the rhino.The kroot and steath team shoots at normal CSM killing 1,with kroot assaulting and killing another one.CSM kill 3 kroot in return and the kroot run for it and get away,with CSM consolidating back towards cover.The suits divide theyr fire with the commander and the Crisis ones shooting the rhino that had popped smoke in a desperate attept to slow it down scoring 2 stunned results(tho because of the extra armour its only shake) and the Broadside blow up the right most rhino and with a mighty explosion one of the berzerkers inside was killed.The Eldar unload the Fire Dragons with the Farseer who casts guide and then they shoot the Plaques,but do to my awesome cover saves I only lose one of 'em.Falcons shooting continues to miss horribly(seriously I think every shoot he took with the Falcon he rolled a 1).Vyper and Jetbikes shoot the Plaques,but do absolutely nothing.

Our Turn 3:Berzerkers with Lord get out the rhino and move torwards the closest Fire Warrior squad,the berzerkers on the right get ready to charge the Broadsides,my CSM get close to the Falcon,my Plaques get to the other building,climb down and advance torwards the Stealths.Bikers mop up the Guardians and move torwards the Tau DZ.CSM shoot theyr meltas,but fail to penetrate,only scoring a stunned result.The Plaques take some pot shots at the Stealths and manage to kill one and the Stealths FAIL morale and make a run for it.Berzerkers with Lord tackle first squad of Fire Warriors gettng off a multible charge on 2 squads of Fire Warriors with the other only being contacted by the Lord and 1 normal berzerker,with the champ and the rest of the berzerkers wipe out the Tau with ease,Lord rolls 2d6 and gets 10 attacks hitting with 8 and wounding with 1!The berzerker with the lord kills also 1 and gets killed by Fire Warriors.The second Fire Warrior squad holds.The other berzerkers assault the Broadside,kill the shield drone and gets one of theyr number killed and the combat is a draw

Theyr Turn 3:Eldar player unleashes the fury off his Fire Dragons on my CSM and wipes the squad to 3 guys,the champ,icon bearer and 1 meltagunner.They proptly make theyr morale test.The Crisis and Commander shoot up my rhino,wrecking it.Stealths regroup,but Kroot wont be able to regroup and run off the board.The Broadside and berzerkers fight it off,with berzerkers wiffing theyr attack,doing nothing while the broadside kills one of the berzerkers and another dies to them having lost the battle.Lord with the other berzerkers kill the Fire Warrior squad to 1 man,one of the berzerkers getting killed and the lone survivor of the Fire Warriors rolling snake eyes and so sticking around,while the other Fire warrior squad move away.The Farseer detaches from the Fire Dragons squad,assault my CSM kill the meltagunner,take 1 wound from the Icon bearer and get stuck with my CSM.Yet again the Vypers and Jetbikes manage to do absolutely nothing in shooting.

Kati seems frustrated by the fact that her Berzerkers aren't wiping out the enemy.Bikes move up to the Commanders face,Plaques go up the Stealths face.Shooting sees the Commander getting 1 wound.In the CC Farseers crushes my CSM,Plaques assault the Stealths,Bikers charge Commander Berzerkers,finally kill the last Fire Warrior and the Broadside got massacrewed.Plaques wipe the stealths and the bikes get the Tau commander to his last wound and the commander kills one biker,leaving only champ and Lord.

The Eldar shoots down my plagues with the assist of the Vypers and Jetbikes,my bikes kill his commander,only to be wiped out by the Crisis Suits.The last Fire Warrior squad rapid fires Katis Berzerkers and Lord,leaving only a wounded Lord and the Champ.Falcon shoots also at the Lord and Berzerker champ,killing the champ.

Our Turn 5:
Her Lord assaults the Fire Warriors,only to have his Daemonweapon rebel and take one wound from him.The Tau Fire warriors do nothing.Katis Berzerkers assault the Tau Crisis Suits,killing one,but losing one of them.

Theyr Turn 5:The Eldar get back in to the Falcon and get to the Crisis suits,Lord slaughtering the Fire warriors before dying to the Vypers Cannons.The Berzerkers kill one Crisis and wound the other only losing 1 of them.The crisis holds and we roll the dice.The game ends and we win.

It was a fun game,with us taking the Primary,they had my secondary we had none of theyrs,Eldar had the Tertiary,the game being declared a minor victory for us with 12-8.All and all it was an interesting game but lets clear the MVP and failure of each army list.
My MVP:Definately the Bikers.They managed to wreck the Wave Serpent,slaughter the Guardians,kill the Tau commander until they were killed by the Crisis suits.
My Failure:Definately the Plaques.Sure they killed off the Stealths but what other did they do?Die.But Plaques weren't made for this kind of games so doesn't matter.
Katis MVP:Definately the berzerker unit of 9.They managed to wipe out everyone they fought against in CC,but that was to be excpected and they did performe quite poorly.
Katis Failure:The other Berzerker squad.They got hold up by a single Broadside and actually lost combat to it and at the Crisis Suit combat weren't impressive and Kati wanted some "alone time" with them.
Eldar MVP:Farseer.She killed off the remains of the CSM and without her guide those pesky Fire Dragons wouldn't have killed as many Plaques as they did with theyr round of shooting.She managed to even stay alive while all the other HQs were killed.
Eldar Failure:The Wave Serpent.It practically did nothing other than get destroyed by one melta shot from a biker.Huge waist of points.
Tau MVP:This is the hardest one,but I'll say Broadside.He(she?) blew up Katis Berzerker rhino and held out the berzerkers,actually winning the combat against them.
Tau Failure:Stealths.Definately.They made lousy shots,fled,regrouped,took some more lousy shots and got killed.The Tau player propably would have been better off with 2 more squads of 6 Fire Warriors.
All and all the game was pretty interesting and for the game to end at turn 5 was the most luckyest thing for us as had it not ended sure,Katis berzerkers would have take another kill point for us,but it was more than likely that they would be wiped out the massive Eldar firepower that was still left.Next game is against 2 Tyranids players.

I was dazed when I saw these 2 armies.By a flashlight that is.But when I saw the Nids I was sure to expect a total massacrew at this points I mean they had a lot of troops and the menacing looking pair of Zoaths.We rolled and got Seize ground with 4 objectives and a Spearhead Deployment.1 objective was put in our quater,in a small ruin ner the center of our quater of the board.1 one was put on theyr side of quater behind some pretty dense jungle.2 were placed at the center of the board,one inside a rather large jungle and the other in midle of a field with only a small fence for cover.Theyr entire army deployed nehind a jungle line that gave 4+ cover,while ours went on 2 sides if the ruin in our quater with my footsloggers going to the left side,it bei ng closer to the center and the rhinos with berzerkers and bikes to the right ready to charge anfd make a suicide run,hoping to actually keep the nids occupied for a while.We rolled,they got first turn,we seized the initiavite!!!Primary:Objectives Secondary:Table quaters Tertiary:Elinate enemys FA,HS,Elite and DT choices(each was worth 1)
Our Turn 1:
CSM are moving towards the objective on field to the left,running in the shooting phace.My Plaques are moving to the objective in the most center,in the jungle also running.Both rhinos speed forward with bikers turbo boosting and ending in a threathening possition as they were right at the face of a unit of shooty warriors and the Tyranid prime,both rhinos popped smoke.
Theyr Turn 1:
All of the small bugs advanced with the Tyrant to the rhinos also so did 2 of the Hive Guards and the gargoiles,the rest stood still and shot at the bikers killing the only normal guy,forcing a moral check which my guys made easily.Nothing other really happened.
Our Turn 2:
CSM get to the objective but they don't have much cover.Plaques also reach theyr objective in the center and took some pot shots on the closest gaunt squad killing 3.All berzerkers disembark,one rhino moving towards the CSM and the other tank shocking the nearest gaunt squad,failing to do anything.Both rhinos also had shot theyr twin linked bolters killing 2 gaunts from the same squad which the Plaques had shot at.Lord and berzerkers shot at termagaunts killing 3 and the other berzerkers shot same termagaunts killing another 3.My bikers and lord shot at the shooty warriors,killing them and putting a wound on the Prime before finishing it in assault.They consilidated to the face of the other warriors.
Theyr Turn 2:
They moved every litle bug and tyrant and gargoiles and Hive Guard forward towards Katis Berzerkers tho due to very poor difficult terrain rolls most of them didn't move that much and only the depleted termagaunts made it close to the berzerkers,who got shot,1 dying.Then that the Shooty warriors and Zoaths shot at my Bikers killing the meltagunner biker and putting a wound on my lord.Warriors assault,kill the biker champ,get one theyr guy killed by My Lord.Then they tried to assault the berzerkers with everything in that general dirrection,but due to the poor rolls earlier and only the depleated termagaunt uni makes it and in combat,Katis Lord rolls douple sixes!!She gets off 12 attack,12 hits and 12 wounds which wipe the termagaunts out!That squad consolidates forward.

Our Turn 3:The berzerker squads move forward both getting to a position that was good to get multible charges off.Plaques shoot the lone Hive Guard who was with the small bugs and Tyrant.One of the Berzerker rhinos goes in front of the CSM,giving them a LoS blocking cover.All berzerkers shoot at the depleated Hormagaunts squad wiping it out in shooting phase.Then the Berzerkers assaulted and both squads got off a multible charge.The lord and the berzerkers charges another unit of termagaunts and the Tyrant,while the other berzerkers charge a unit of termagaunts and a unit of hormagaunts.Lord with unit kill 7 from the termagaunts and got wound from the Tyrant,while 3 berzerkers got ripped apart.No other casulties in that combat.The other berzerker squad killed 5 hormagaunts and 3 termagaunts while 2 berzerkers where dragged down.The Biker lord kills one more warrior while getting another wound on him,leaving him with 1 wound left.

Theyr Turn 3:The gargoiles want to do something and charge the berzerker without the Lord.The Zoaths blow up the rhino who was near the big combat,getting an explosion result which kills one berzerker and 2 termagaunts.Berzerkers kill 3 hormagaunts,2 termagaunts and 1 gargoile,while they drag down 3 berzerkers leaving only the champ and 2 other standing.The termagaunts on the other combat kill 2 berzerker and get 5 of them killed while the tyrant kills 2 and gets a wound on him.Only the Lord,one normal berzerker and the PF champ remain.It is certainly looking bad for us.Biker lord finishes the last warrior,consolidates to the direction of the big combat.

Biker lord moves near the gargoiles.Nothing shoots due to lack of targets.The Biker Lord assaults the gargoiles,gets a 5,hit 5,wound 3.Then the berzerkers kill a gargoile and 2 termagaunts.No berzerkers are killed,but my lord on bike gets killed off by gargoiles.Katis Lord gets 10 on 2d6,8 hit and 7 wound wiping off the pesky squad of termagaunts.The tyrant kills the normal berzerker and takes no wounds in return.

Theyr Turn 4:
Zoaths move to get a better viev on the rhino and the CSM.In the combat Tyrant rips the berzerker champion apart,but Katis lord actually manages to kill him off.In the other combat,berzerkers kill 2 termagaunts and a gargoile before they get slaughtered.Now 14 gargoiles,6 termagaunts and 7 hormagaunts remain who consolidate towards theyr objective,managing to get both horma- and termagaunts to near the objective.

Our Turn 5:Lord makes one last dash to get the Tyranids of the objective,charging the hormagaunts,but his weapon rebelled on him and the hormagaunts get another wound off him.
Theyr Turn 5:
Zoaths shoot the rhino still standing,wrecking it.Gargoiles assault the lord,Katis lord makes 11 attacks,killing the hormagaunts,but the gargoiles kill him off.We roll and we continue for the next turn.
Objectives Us:2 They:1
Our Turn 6:Plaques and CSM shoot pot shots at gargoiles,managing to kill one.
Theyr Turn 6:Zoaths shoot at the CSM,kill one.Gargoiles moved to screen the termagaunts on the objective.We roll and get a 6,so we continue.
Objectives Us:2 They:1
Whole Turn 7:My Plaques and CSM shoot at the gargoiles,killing 2,leaving 11,while zoaths kill another CSM.
So we got the primary,holding 2 while they held 1,the secondary by holding 2 quaters uncontested,while they got 1.The tertiary we got also by having killed 3 HS and they only 2 DT choices.It was declaired major victory for us and it was 18-2.It felt more like a very close game,not like they look in the scores,because when the grand combat began we all had fun and didn't even really cared what was killed,we just wanted something to be killed.We all laughed hard at the game even after it and we voted that those 2 were our best opponents and they did the same.Now the MVPs and Failures.
My MVP:Lord,propably.He did his job,getting rid of those pesky shooty warriors before they really got off any shots and even got himself into the grand combat for a moment.
My Failure:Bikers.They just died too quickly and didn't really achieve anything,getting killed and protecting theyr Lord,but for theyr points Raptors would have been better.
Katis MVP:Her Lord,definately.If your chaos lord with mark of khorne rolls 12,11,10 and 8 for attacks and his weapon only rebels once,he definately has served his purpose,wiping out 2 termagaunt squads single-handedly and finnishing off the Tyrant.
Katis Failure:Rhino Gutspiller,tho he wasn't really that much of a failure.He got the berzerkers where they were needed,tried to tank shock and after that got shot and exploded killing 2 enemies and 1 berzerker.
Tyranid list 1s MVP:His second termagaunts.They actually killed the some berzerkers and got to theyr objective,holding it to the end of the game.
Tyranid list 1s Failure:His Prime.Definately.He didn't do anything other than die.So he was huge waist of points,could have been better off just naked and some gaunts added to the other squads.
Tyranid list 2s MVP:Zoanthropes,as they blew the 2 rhinos and killed some of my CSM,tho even they didn't do much.
Failure:Termagaunts.They killed 1! berzerker before being wiped single handedly by Katis Lord.
Next Round Black Templar and White Scars Space Marines.

Now unfortunately I am not going to write a battle report of the last game as fractly I don't remember anything from it and neather does Kati,but it ended in a major victory for us 16-4 and got us 2nd place as all other teams except us and winners had atleast 1 draw.The winners were 2 daemon army,with really nasty lists.Now Kati didn't kiss,even if she had threatened to do so if we eneded up in top 5,but she kissed me 3 times to the cheek.The tournament was definately worth going to.
