No guardsmen.

They suck.

The only army i won over (ie, didn't get totally owned by) in the last tourney was gk with allied guard.

Meaning it is worse than my list. So no guard.


Anyway, i will take away the psycannon bolts on the inquisitor to gain unguents of warding. 4+ save against psychic powers is nice. (new nids are crazy psykers)

I have the opposite experience. My allied guardsmen overwhelmed the enemy and took them by surprise!

But they are very good on their own though. So i understand your point of view.

Yes i really dont like them. Good choice! But i would give the grandmaster a psycannon aswell. Dont waste that BS5, it can kill a zoanthrope in one round!

try allied SOB a DH storm trooper is 10 pts a SOB is 11 points so your paying 1 pt to get power armour and a bolter plus they have faith points one of which can give a squad bolters ap 1

Looks good. Your GM and GKTs charging out of the crusader should be pretty tough to counter in a 1000 pt game

Not to mention they have to worry about your cute little eversor

Of course, drive their attention to something else, and you can have alot of fun

@Brother Klomster: BTW, speaking of "cute little eversors"...wait till you see my FEMALE eversor (almost done, maybe in a day or so). I think enemies might just stand there and gawk at her while she cuts them down

Well, the crusader has a multimelta and the eversor has meltabombs if I'm not mistaken, don't have my codex at hand.

Brother Grimhack is correct on both the MM and the eversor. Plus, unless it is another LR type, its back armor would probably be 10 in which case it is also vulnerable to the GM and termies.

@Panzer: I just wanted to make something different. I also have a completed female vindicare. I actually got the idea of a female eversor from a cartoon link that Brother Klomster posted in another thread

Anyway, i lost big time in the tournament.

13 out of 14 (I won the tie breaker for painting better than the last guy, which means i can't even claim last place)

2 of the 3 games was quite boring, (espescially the second) 1st against eldar and second against ultramarines (curse their cheating special characters who outflank)

I got shot to death without even beeing able to get them back.
Eversor got a wraithlord first match though.
I got it and 4 other models that match.

Last game was lots of fun, eldar again.

And the most insane thing happened..... HE HAD A DEAMON!!!!! A real deamon, the AVATAR of Khorne.... ugh i mean Khaine.... really.

I shot it with the crusader (the multimelta making it look really cool while i said it fired upon it without effect, i knew it doesn't work on them)
And the avatar lost 3 wounds..... i was like "Wtf!"

And then i tank shocked it the next turn after it shot and charged me (doing nothing)

The land raider swept past the avatar, and in a real anime style the land raider and the avatar stopped at eachothers sides, the land raider falling in two perfect slices and then exploding, epicly.

DANG! I though, then i charged it with my terminators and killed it.

Eversor takes out 1 ranger squad and halves a guardian squad before dying.

My inquisitor manages to get into close combat and shoots 1 guardian, and then charge and kill 1 more, recieving no wounds, and they run off the table killing them.

Then the swooping hawks deep strike and shoot the crap out of him

The terminators are charged by the harlequins, (they are scary on the charge) and only 2 terminators (grand master Castus and brother captain Borley)

Eventually they cut and burn them down. Holocaust is awesome.

Dire avengers charge them and after the epic battle the only thing left on the table is the Grand master with 1 wound, and the swooping hawks, the grand master dodges their shooting, shoots down 1, they jump, shoot again, fail and then the grand master charge and makes baked beef out of all except 1.

Then,,,, i make holocaust, wounds, he rolls save, it IS A SAVE.... NO WAIT!!!!

It's on a small pebble, so it's not straight, so it's not certain it was a save, so reroll.

AND HE DIES!!!!

YAY, only thing left on the table is my grand master with 1 wound.

Both agree that it was a fun battle and according to the scenario i WON!!!!
6-4, very even. Both games before that was 2-8, 2-8, where my opponet was the ones getting 8.

The most funny thing was that out of 14 people, there was:
2 Tyranids.
4 assorted space marines.
3 eldar.
1 orks.
2 deamonhunters (Wtf?)
and... uh.... some others, but the important thing is 2 deamonhunters, i was like Wtf all the time since i saw the grey knights to the left of me the first game, so i thought "Allied to guard" but it was pure deamonhunters with stormtroopers, a kid played them (and i think he went bananas on bionics )

And a good friend of mine won.

Sounds like a fun and intense battle you had there, those are always the best.

i agree i really dont like easy battles where im you just hack through everyone and you get like 0 casualtys. if you play chaos get them to get demonic stature, demonic claws, demoic flight and the banner of tezzench the chaos get +2 strentgh with the banner 1+ attack with the claws, the flight lets them fly like 24 inchs. but im not a hunderd % on what the stature does but it like gives them fearless. this was all like 3rd or 4th edition though

Tyranids of course He won a blood angel pin and a gift card.

Man if there would have been a CSM palyer he would have totally kicked everyones asses.*low grumbling about the true chosen servants of Chaos Gods,something about Katis Berzerker and buying the bug spray grenades to every squad when against Tyranid,with getting everyone that can Combi-Bugspray*

Haha tyranids did win because he thought my grey knights would be the logical target and when I finally crawled in the corner and died because the tiranid army over ran his ass so he got what was comming for him

He won becouse of general luck and some experience playing 40k i believe.
