The Fall of a Planet Empty The Fall of a Planet

Here my long awaited Grey Knight RPG.

It is entirely play by post so play post.

Note this campaign is a crossover between Warhammer 40,000 and the Elder Scrolls

Now for the plot 50 years after the event of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in the planet of Nirn. The Evil deadra are invading and want to turn into a dark image. In the continent of Tamriel the people of all races human or not are fighting to defend their homeland with their lives. Fortunately this conflict has come under the notice of the inquisition and they have a different idea invade themselves sending an elite killing team of Grey Knights (where the players come in) bringing these petty deadra AND the people to justice for failure to fallow the emperor then create a research station.

*Nothing in this campaign will scare the Grey Knights or the servitors for different reasons.

Enemies and their stats will be introduced upon appearance.

Close combat. The fastest character will always strike first. (if two or more characters have the same speed they will role one six sided dice and the order is determined in of highest to lowest rolls) Roll two six sides dice and if the rolls are lower than or equal to the malee they hit and wound on two d6 if under. Then the unit being wounded will do endurance save and armor saves. Trying to get 2d6 lower than their stats for both.

Ranged combat
The fastest character like in melee always shoots first and if two or more character have the same speed they will roll to see who first in the same fashion. However weapons don’t fire at the same rate. Characters in terminator armor always fire the full rate of fire even when moving. Roll two D6 is the roll is under the shooting skill it wounds.

Movement:

All character can move as far as they want unless they are locked into combat.


Equipment rules

Force Sword: adds 1 to melee

Force Halberd: Add 1 to Speed

Force Falchions: Attacks a second time.

Force Hammer: is hit with speed 3 but the player rolls three times

Force Staff: Adds 1 to endurance.

All deal 70 damage, ignore armor, and can be activated causing death


Guns:

Stormbolter fires 2 times dealing 50 damage each shot

Psycannon: Fires 4 times while standing and 2 times while moving dealing 60 damage the last shot ignores armor.

Incinerator: fires once dealing 110 damage

Psilencer: fires six time dealing 40 damage



For the story you are deployed into a grassy field filled with some wicked looking deadras that you are have not encounter and golden skinned xenos in elegant but flimsy but your standards armor. The xenos notice you and scream in utter terror. Running in fright the xenos trip over each other. While the deadra nervously advance to you finally feeling fear.

Name: Battle brother Seratos.
Class: Paladin. (Actually regular terminator, but paladin is closer, he is as sturdy as a paladin anyway.)
Age: 24
Psychic powers: None of his own
Equipment: Incinerator, nemesis force halberd.
Background: A rather young knight, large and sturdily built, he has proven to be quite dependable. Having moved through his training quite fast.
Saratos squad was sadly wiped out, but in that very fight Saratos himself earned his terminator honours.
His psychic potential is rather weak, so instead of fighting along a regular terminator squadron, he was to join a senior librarian in any tasks that fit.
For the moment that is Epistolary Constantine, and the mission is a purge of a site, and establish a control zone for the construction of a research station.
Apparently the deamonic is deeply rooted in this planet so the best deamon hunters were brought in to deal with the problem.
Notes: Having no psychic powers of his own, he can lend some energy to others should they request it. This is equal to casting a power himself, but instead he helps the other with his power. What actually happens is up to the gm.

-"Brother Constantine, deamons!" As he turned towards them and fired his incinerator in a wide burst, drenching several of them in holy promethium.

-"Cleanse and purify." Seratos said while raising his weapon, the fires glinting on his visors as he watched his enemies burn.

Excellent question. Yes and no since the tabletop game employs a cone shaped template with the blast is cone shaped but(this is could change) all characters players or not are in range two used any weapon they have. Unless I the GM say otherwise.

trooper:sword deals 10 damage, shield adds 1 to armor.

[OOC, if there ever was something like it, that was a critical success.]

As the lightning bolts struck the armour of Seratos, it danced over its surface and eventually grounded with a fizzle.

Seratos turned and faced the new threat, leveling his incinerator preparing to fire. The pilot light burning brightly blue.


[OOC, the real problem with the cone of the incinerator is that stat-wise it is for the moment a single target high damage weapon, which is rather strange..... Also i'll fire as soon as i can. You may roll the dices if you so feel.]

[OOC: A bit confused here, but i'll just take some armour saves and make an attack and call it a day, the turn sequence is a bit confusing. Plus i still haven't got an answer is the incinerator can only fire at one enemy per round.]

After the mage swatted the complaining daedra, brother Seratos realigned his incinerator to purge the attacking daedra, while simultaneously looking at the one who had complained.

-"The answer to that is simple, you cannot!" Brother Seratos finished the sentence with pulling the trigger...

I've made a decision to futher motive me to post and as well giving our pathictic enemie a harder time I shall join in.

equipment:Force Sword, Conversion Beamer, digital weapons, Servitor Armed with Plasma Cannon
Background:A fresh form Mars Techmarine.
Notes:favors the chapter ideals to that of the Machine Cult.

new weapons introduced

digital weapon allow rolls to wound to be rerolled

plasma cannon does 80 damage owner can't fire while moving

conversion beamer does 60 damage to standard targets, 120 to medium targets, and 240 damage to large targets. Like with plasma cannon the techmarine cannot fire while moving.

Without further ado

Techmarine Axxon and his servitor companion approach his brothers ready to commend them on their victory. When they see another Platoon of ten troopers and a Xivilai armed with a bloody ax all black which advance slow toward the Terminator and Librarian It roared "Lord Dagon has granted a new type of enemies. Your comrade were soft and cowardly we are not."

As the enemies advance a shout "lokzii do dinok"

Axxon ordered his trusty servitor to record the shout and says "After we defeat this scum I will have that noise translated." The Techmarine is too fatigued to assault and his weapon is two heavy to operate after a movement however he can still defend himself.
