Re: Hi tech miniatures
well ... it's the 54mm range from Scibor miniatures.
I don't know for Hitech, cause i haven't bought anything from them yet, but with Scibor miniatures it depends a lot of the lot. some are very good but some are just crap (with bubbles or moulding problems)

I agree with the above statement,Just depends on the batch/lot.
I've had great castings from them and not so great casting also.
Kind of like pistol (Russian) roulette you just never know if its that one chamber that has a round in it.
I've also had similar problems with Ramshackle the kits looks great on the web site, but that's because they pick the best casting for the picture as do all of them, kinda makes sense.
They don't want too show us/you a turd or no one would buy from them.
If you have the patience you could file, sand, liquid green stuff.

Re: Hi tech miniatures
Well i decided to not buy a Grand master at least from hitech because i really want the mini to be good if i pay for it.So instead of buying one i decided to try and make one with bits and green stuff, this will be my first try to create a mini from scratch so it will probably fail, but hey we all have to start somewhere i guess, so when i finish painting this batch I'll start the grand master.

Re: Hi tech miniatures
note that Hitech is a 54mm range, not a 30mm range ... so the model would have been too big for your purpose to create your own GM for your 40k Army !

Re: Hi tech miniatures
Moric sorry to be so discouraging,Although they look cool and many of us have bought/paid for a figure site unseen/not held in hand.Only to find out what it looks like size wise next to a GW figure, and then be upset like I've been.
I'm glad that you ask before, saving you some Christmas money for something else
Good luck, anything built by oneself can't be that bad.Who knows you just might come up with an awesome GM
Remember your just not limited to the GK bits range for an Idea for a GM you can also mix and match from other bits ranges too.
Looking forward to to see what conversion you come up with/posted pictures!
