2000P Strike Force

Hello, after playing serveral Lists created by my own the result ist this List Ill post here wich was very sucessfull in nealry all of my games. But standing still means that there are no impovements and i think this list can perhaps be further improved so I hope that your expirience will help me.

Have you tried 2 psycannons on the paladins yet? I think you'll get more out of an extra psycannon than an incinerator. I'm also more of a fan of having at least one dreadknight with a hammer. The rerolls with the sword are excellent but against av14 you need at least 4+ just to get a glance as opposed to the hammer needing 2+. Other than that, it looks great. There are so many huge threats that the enemy won't be able to decide which one is the greatest until they are all on them.

Well I also Prefer the Psycannon over the Incinerator but i miss the Points.^^ And the Hammer on a Dreadknight would make it more Deadly against AV14 in the Heck but with Hammerhand he "only" requires two 4+ wich is for okay cuz i dont have so much enemys who play Land Raiders or Monos. More I need the DKs to kill other MCs oder Shreder some Lemans and for that I think the Greatsword is realy good. For the big Targets such as Land Raiders I use my Psycannons if there is no better Target for them or engage them with the Hammer of my Paladins. Also i got a Match where the twin-linked Assaultcannon of my LLR killed an enemy LRGH in the second Round, was quite funny.^^ But I know that i depend a bit on luck if I engange such hard targets but i think that i have coverd everyhing below that with that wich is already in my list.

Good point with the DK's hammerhand. Having 1 hammer though would free up the points for the second psycannon, if I recall correctly.

By the way, do the paladins have psybolt ammo? I just calculated the points and it seems off by 20.

Well, I use a dedicated WH40k calculating tool for my Lists and no, there is no Psybolt Ammo for them?

I really like the list. The only thing i would be tempted to add is an interceptor squad, maybe at the expence of the second Srike squad (do you need two? I know it makes a nice symetrical list but what will it add?) and the greatswords (I prefer to run them cheap and get the extra attack with the doomfists or hammer it).

I also prefer double Psycannon's in Palladins and a hammer in my strike squads....... yeah i know if you had the points you would.

Well, as you have noticed I am addicted to symetrical lists, so the second Strike Squad was taken in for taking Mission Objs and doing some fire Support with their Psycannon and the HB out of Cover.

And with the DK I think they realy need a strong Weapon to be worth any points so i stick em with the Greatsword for it can crush the most Infantry and Vehicles with ease, but yes, they are quite expensive but also very tough.

My goal was to create a list with a high threat potential to prevent my strong units form being sniped out. Ans also I love symetrical Lists so i can attack with twei Wings while my Land Rader pushes throug the middel with its deadly load.

I play the DKs for the most important Targets I can engange in a 1on1 situation such as Tanks, HQs or MCs, they "flank" both with their jumps and do a quick pressure on my enemy. While that my two Strike Squads advance on both sides while the Dreadnoughs burst every viable Target into pieces, such as Transporters and T4 Units.
