1500-200 points, brand new to GK
Hi! Well, I'm not brand new to 40k(but I am brand new to this wonderful blog), but I've only played about 4 games. I've been reading blogs and such a lot, but for awhile now I've been unable to play again. I'm able to play now, and the part of me that's always wanted to play Grey Knights has finally taken hold. I plan on selling off the majority of my space wolves I've collected, and start working on a GK army. Most games played in my area are 1500 points, so that's where I'm going to start list wise:
(Nothing has been Purchased)
HQ:
Ordo Malleus Inquisitor (Goes with warband. They are only unit on the table at turn one, using psychic communion to bring my GKT faster.)
Psyker, Psychic communion
3 Servo Skulls
Elites:
Henchmen Warband,
3 Crusaders, 9 Acolytes
Troops:
GKT x10
2 Psycannons
GKT x10
2 Psycannons
GKT x10
2 PSycannons
--------------
1495/1500
Now, I could drop 5 Warrior acolytes and buy a BBanner for one squad.
My idea is to DS onto the field, to fight the lack of mobility against footslogging.
I've tried to draft a Mordrak list with Psychic communion x2, but Can't find a spot to put a telport homer in there! I wish Inq.s Could take em. Also, I'm concerned about the cost of Mordrak.
I really like Librarians, But the last thing I need is less bodies.
Also, Do I have enough bodies, even if all the ones that matter are in TDA?
What will rape my army? Guard?
Suggestions? Especially, how could GKSS fit into this?
And open to NDKs! ;D
Thank ya'll!

You can't cast Psychic communion twice in a turn.
Your Inq and henchmen are also a waste in this list unless they have a transport, and I would still argue they are just a waste...
DS is a good extra trick, relying upon it not so much unless your a DoA BA list.
I'd probably recommend starting with the two 10 man GKT squads (2 PsyC each), and grabbing a Librarian, shrouding is absolutely necessary for GKT lists of any kind.
Then get some Psyflemen dreads, they are your long range firepower, and light anti tank.
With two psyflemen this puts you at about 1300-1350 points ish. I'd add a banner to each GKT squad, and psybolt ammo.
(Maybe a NDK with H Incin if you have points)
NDK could fit, but you would probably want 2 with flamers to go with the GKT.
Librarian is basically the default competitive HQ choice, particularly for any kind of pure GK force. Its your force multiplier.
Mordrak can work, and works best with a Librarian, so you can land, use warp rift, absorb some fire, then assault next turn. Its somewhat of a wild card, but warp rift can be devastating versus a carpark. Librarian gets the teleport homer.
What rapes GKT? Plasma, what do you do? Play skillfully, and know your stuff (and have a librarian so you get a good cover save). Torrent of fire also hurts alot, so you need to either sit at 24" where you can outshoot most stuff particularly in 10 man squads with PsyC and PsyBolt ammo, or move in real fast and smash stuff in CC.

How about dropping 1 unit of Terminators down to 5 man squad, that gives you 225pts to play with, drop the warband gives you 306pt.You could use those points to get 2 units of 5-6 man Strike Squads with Psycannon and hammer.
As you probably know in 40k you have 2 out of 3 chances of getting and objective game so you can use the Strike Squads to hold the home objectives and protect them with warp quake.
Put the Inquisitor in 1 of them for the Psychic Communion.
Why couldn't you cast 2 Psychic Communion from 2 different guys? It says it can stack in our book

Re: 1500-200 points, brand new to GK
Thanks for posting in both my posts Shadow.
My questions are, with only 2-3 Dreads, Wouldnt they get eaten? Because I thought the weakness of footlists, is, well, if they take even 1-2 Vehicles, they get raped, because all AT is focused into it. I Think NDK are cool. Could I use two with teleporters&hammers for Anti Tank? And, Would 20 Termie bodies be enough? Thanks guys!
And I like all of your posts I've read Zealadin.
