Anointed shooting weapons?

I just thought of it, i don't think the FAQ speaks of it and it speaks as it is a close combat weapon.

But there is no real rule that says that only close combat weapons can be anointed.

Could be fun with an anointed psycannon.

Klomi, my friend. It seems that you have overseen something in the rules. The anointed weapon counts as a power weapon that wounds daemons on 4+....
So it is a CC weapon.

Yes, but it doesn't say it can't be bought to a shooting weapon.

If you read the rules as interpreted, it does put it in a way that suggest it is a CCW.

But then, RAW, there is no limitation, (that i've seen).

Perhaps it gives shooting weapons those qualities when used in CC.

Though kinda over power full I mean:

umm..... Annointed weapon isn''t an upgrade. It's a weapon, like a deamonhammer or powerfist. a powerweapon with additional anti deamon powers, like the daemonhammer is a thunderhammer with additional anti deamon weapons.

It's not like mastercrafting.

Well, it is a completely standalone weapon, so not an upgrade.

That means that i've learned something today.
Read up on the reference material, or you'll make an ass of yourself.
