What a (not so) glorious day!
Just back from a 15000 points-per-side Apocalypse game. To make it short i lost, but i had have some glorious moments. I faced once again the chaos hordes of a friend. I fielded a mighty crusade of three chapter:
7000 points Space Wolves
Logan Grimnar and his War Counsil (Masters of the Chapter)
Sternhammer and his Wulfen Guard (3x10 Wulfen with furious Assault and rending, 120!!! attacks in CC)
3 Land Raider
Ancient Assault Force (4 dreads)
15 Terminators
and a lot of other stuff
3500 points Salamanders
Vulkan He´Stan
1 Land Raider
Ancient Assault Force (4 dreads)
13 Terminators
and a lot of other stuff
4500 Points Grey Knights:
2 Land Raiders
1 Baneblade
5 Calidus Assassines
5 Evasor Assassines
4 Vindicare Assassines
3 Dreads
30 Terminators
My opponent fielded:
5 Land Raider
2 Brass Scorpions
1 selfmade Warmachine
2 Shadowsword variants (1 Doomhammer and 1
1 Warhound Titan
8 Bloodthirsters (including Scarbrand, the new named BT from C: Daemons)
1 Daemonic Hexagon (one of each greater daemon and a one squad of each normal daemons)
30 Chaos Terminators
9 Obliterators
7 Defilers
and a lot of other stuff
Like i already said i lost. 6 Warmachines against 1 was a bit odd. I managed to disable the Warhound Titan and the doomhammer and to destroy one brass scorpion. But the coolest action was when my GK Terminators appeared in turn 3 (the last turn) and attacked Scarbrand and his seven Bloodthirster. Brother-Captain Stern, my Grand Master and their Terminators killed 5!!!!! Bloodthirsters in a single round. Scarbrand´s special rule became a boomerang for the daemons cause all units in 24" to Scarbrand had to reroll all missed attacks in CC, including my GK. He was not happy with that. I lost 5 GKT.

I was going to say it was a little lopsided in the super-heavy category...but as Brother C said, awesome duel with the Bloodthirsters. I'm pretty sure you were able to get a massive first strike on the bloodthirsters since they would attack you at initiative 1 on the first turn of cc

Re: What a (not so) glorious day!
Found some pics from that day.
Normally i choose a more aggressive and offensive setup. But against my friend i always failed with that tactic. So i decided to try it this time with a defense one.
The combined armoured Might of three Chapters.
1 Baneblade
6 Land Raiders
4 Predators
2 Vindicators
2 Razorbacks
3 Rhinos
11 Dreadnoughts
2 Land Speeder
1 Leman Russ Exterminator
1 Droppod
The Might of the Ancients
The Forces of Chaos (or at least a small part of it) That´s the selfmade Warmachine of my friend.
1 Turbolaser
1 Battlecannon
2 TLLC
4 HB
2 WW launcher
