+BINERY 000005+ What happens When a Grey Knight Dies?

If you've never heard of the Grey knights before...well lets just say you need to get out more . I've been asked quite afew times from other Members of the Warhammer 40,000 what happens when a Grey Knight dies, well heres your answer:

When a Grey Knight Dies (Or in a rare occasion, Justicar, Brother Captian/Grand master) they are taken back from the feild of battle and placed in a Tomb of the Emperor under The Grey Knight Monastry on Titan. During this cermony the body is carried by 6 Battle-Brothers of the fallen Grey Knight, with them is a Brother-Captain who will be the "Priest" lets say of the burial; They are also accompanied by Servo-Skull (It writes down the way the Grey Knight Died and his victories over Daemonis forces). In the Burial the Brother Captain will say how the Grey Knight died and chant his victroies over Daemonic forces. When the Body is laid to rest in the Tomb The Nemisis Force weapon that Belonged to the Grey Knight is put on top of him, and the scroll written by the Servo-skull will be placed within a ivory scroll case and placed with the body. The Retine of the Fallen Grey Knight then leave the tomb and the Golden door is closed, sealing the now deceased Grey Knight in an internal sleep from which he will never wake up. The now gone Grey Knight will never be heard of outside of the Grey Knight chapter, he will have died as an Unsung hero, with all the other Now deceased Grey Knights.

Could put a quick add to that, the Grey Knights of his own squad will put one of their own purity seals on the door of the fallen Grey Knight, to show their respect and honour for their fallen brother.

Every Fallen Brother must be avenged it is the code of the Grey Knights.

avenging a death of a fallen brother is not the right way to deal with the daemon. thinking and acting by beeing driven with emotions will make us weaker to the touch of chaos and as such will increase the chance to be tainted/consumed by it.

Facing the Hordes of the Warp the Grey Knights dont think as ordinary humand beings. There are not such things as anger or wrath cuz this will lead to humans downfall, there is only a rightous fury in which they serve the Emperor as his Weapon against the Warp itself. They serve, they fight and they die because it is his will, not becaus a deamon has killed them. Even in death the hordes have no power over a Grey Knight, as they have none in life.

We shall mourn the death of one Brother by unleashing our fury upon the scum of the warp and rejoice knowing that our fallen brother surely took many a foe with him whilst unleashing the untainted wrath of his brother upon the enemy!
