This is an army list for a friendly game with Inquisitor Lord. The game is 1500 I think and I haven't bought all my Grey Knight Models yet so I must use the inferior Marines to battle. Here it goes.

HQ

sorry to burst your bubble mate but as this is a DH force primarily then you aint allowed the marines:

Allied Space Marines may not be used if Grey Knights are present in the Daemonhunters Force

page 21 of the Codex Daemonhunters under "Using Inducted Guard or Allied Space Marines"

This could be fixed however, by taking SM as the 'parent' list.

As in HQ and 2 troops for SM (at the least) and then you are allowed to take GK as allies.

It is weird how the system can only work in one direction sometimes.

I've put in a Master and changed the grand master to a brother captain and put him in elites. Is this legal now?

The Crusader and Dreadnought would have to be normal Space Marines as well sadly, the rules for taking GK allies are in the Daemonhunters codex somewhere if you wanna know all the ins and outs of allies.

which means you can make the dread venerable and give him tank hunter (yes i know anothre 35 points but it is worth it), he now sits in the elites slot, and i would suggest loosing the flamers, not as effective as bolters considering that you effectively want to keep the squads static, though if some stuff i have read about the new SM codex is true then you can take ten men squads and combat squad them at deployment just like stating that you are taking a squad as infiltrating or reserves or deep strike
