No GK here, but it was a very good 2,000 point battle against Master of the Ultramarine so I thought I'd post it. Awwww, here goes!!!

13th Company Space Wolves (the Good Guys)

And so it begins...AWWW HERE GOES!!!!

Deployment

My long Fangs set up in a ruin at my table edge, one Claw on the Left Flank and the other one (with the Wolf Guard) on the Right.
The Wolf Priest joined the Wulfen and set up in front of the Long Fangs. The Slayers set up in the centre, with the Rune Priest in one of them. My Wolf Lord went on the left flank.

The Ultra Vet Squad went on my left flank, Tigeruis and one Tactical on the right and everything else bar the Chaplain and his squad and the Assault marines (who were Deep Striking) went in the middle.

Due to my scouts rule, most of my squads moved to more favorable positions (namely, hiding behind hills)

Turn one - Ultramarines

Not much movement, just the Rhino getting closer.

Vindicare fires to hit all the Wulfen, Wolf Priest and Wolf Guard + Storm Claws... Scatters and kills one Wulfen. Laughing

Devastators and 1 Tactical shot at foremost Flamer Slayers, kills 6 of them.

13th Company

Most guys run forwards, but still under cover from hills. Rune Priest uses The Gate to open a portal to just beside the enemy Vindicator and 1 Tactical and the Devastators. Wulfen go up a hill and Claws with Guard go around out of sight.

Rune Priest and Plasma Slayers virtually destroy Vindictor, killing all weapons and making imobile.

Long Fangs become useless, both Plasma Cannons overheat and kill users. (how is it possible to roll 1, 2, 1, 2, HOW???) All other weapons miss, fail to wound or glance.

Turn 2 - Ultramarines

Tigerius and Tactical Charge Wulfen, Rhino moves up and deposites Vets in front of left Claws and Wolf lord. Terminators teleport beside Long Fangs, not that I care about them anymore...

Rune Priest and Slayers get wasted by Devs (Evil Plasma Cannon) and a Tactical (note to self, make Rune Priest cheaper, give retinue of 5 Slayers with a Plasmagun and meltagun to get more Slayers elsewhere...)
Vets pistols do nothing to Claws and Lord. 4 Long Fangs killed by Storm Bolters, AssCan and Cyclone. Serve 'em right for failing to make Vindicare unable to shoot and leaving Slayers and Rune Priest wide open.

Tigerius and Wolf Priest kill each other in Epic Close Combat. I forget about Wolf Priests 4+ Invulnerable so he dies instead of having a chance to live. Curses. Wulfen kill 2 marines, lost one Wulfen.

13th Company

Now they're gonna get it, Claws charge Veterans after killing a few with shooting and only kill em down to 5 people, lost 2 Claws.
Wolf Lord Charges Devastators, kills 4, Leaves one.
Single Long Fang shoots a Terminator in the face with a Lascannon. He doesn't survive.
Flamer Slayer make valiant charge towards Tactical Squad, rapid fire 'em but fail to kill anyone.
Wulfen kill a few marines, Claws charge in to help, Wolf Guard gets 7 attacks on charge. 3 or so kill. Poor rolls. Claws whittle down squad to 1 man left. Poor Wulfen loose more Wulfen.

Turn 3 - Ultramarines

Assault Marines Deep Strike behind Tactical, right over where Rune Priest opened the gate.
Tactical Squad kill heroic Flamer Slayer Squad.
Terminators kill Long Fang in charge, set sights on other Long Fang Squad.
Wolf Lord kills last Devastator 4 times over.
Wulfen overcomes last Ultramarine, Wulfen and Claw moves towards Tactical Squad.
Claw overcome by veteran squad, Vets move towards Wolf Lord

13th Company

Wolf Lord, Wulfen and Claw simultanously charge Tactical Squad. Forget about charging into cover rules. Wouldn't have helped 'em anyway.
5 Ultramarines die, no Wolves bite it. Wolf Lord takes 1 wound.
Long Fangs re-assert their uselessness by failing to kill Terminators.

Turn 4 - Ultramarines

Assault Squad furious charge into melee to help tactical. Get killed by Wolf Lord and Wulfen for their trouble. Kill most of Wulfen in return.
Wolf Guard with Mark of the Wulfen kills all 5 Ultramarines single handedly.
Terminators fail difficult terain test to charge. Long Fangs proceed to laugh.

13th Company

Vindicare destroyed by crazed Storm Claws.
Long Fangs are still useless.

Turn 5 - Ultramarines

Rouge Rhino attempts to tank shock Fearless Storm Claws. Fails.
Terminators finally kill all Long Fangs. Proceed to make the long trek over to the other side of the table.
Wolf Lord furious charged by veterans. Kills all veterans, takes 1 wound.

13th Company

Last Wulfen and Claw pack charge towards Terminators.
Wolf Lord Fails to kill Rhino.

Turn 6 - Ultramarines

Rhino shoots in the back and kills two Storm Claws bringing squad down to 3. The cowards speed away laughing.
Terminators kill last Wulfen.

13th Company

Wolf Lord still failing to kill Rhino.
Claw and Terminators charge each other, both sides determined to bring vengence to the other for killing their battle brothers. Terminator shot point blank by Plasma Pistol, dies, Chaplain kills all 3 Claws before Mark of the Wulfen can be unleashed. Not fair.

Turn 7 narrative.

The Spell was broken, no longer would he hunt this pointless Rhino, the last of his Wolf-Brothers had been slain. The unnamed Wolf Lord took a vow to kill the last of the enemy or die trying. He cursed the name of the foolish 15 year old who had decided that his talents would be wasted charging after a rhino. There! On the hill were the last 3 Ultramarine Terminators, one a Chaplain, another a Sergeant and the last armed with a deadly Chainfist. He accelarated and fired the bolters on his bike to gain their attention. In his left gauntlet, he held his sword, forged from the rarest of metals, and sheathed in lightning. When it struck, it bit as deep as an activated Frost Blade would. The bike reached the foot of the hill and Chainboy, as he was called by the Wolf Lord, made ready to split the bike in two. Beneath his helmet, the Wolf Lord grinned. He activated the Turbo Boosters and leapt clear. Chainboy halved the bike, but couldn't stop it running him over. Or it's remaining fuel exploding. Or the Wolf Lord using Rule No. 17; Always make sure it's dead.

The Chaplain, Skullface, and the Sergeant, Sarge, roared and charged. The Wolf Lord suddenly sprang forward and planted two feet onto Skullface's helm, knocking the Terminator over. The Wolf Lord rolled away and was back on his feet swiftly. Sarge thrust with his power sword but the Wolf Lord span to his left, out of the way of the sword and so that his back was facing Sarge. His sword still in his left hand, he stabbed it behind him, grabbing it with his right, and was rewarded with a gasp of pain. Deftly, he pulled it out and stabbed behind and to his left. Another moan. He spun again, blade in now in his right hand and an a great arc, cut Sarge in two. The Wolf Lord howled.

Skullface was up again and bellowing with rage, his Croisius Arcanum swung and met the Wolf Lord's blade.

"You and your men have slain my Wolf-Brothers, Wolves I have known for millenia, and you must die." Growled the Wolf Lord.

"Our Chief Librairan Tigerius lies heavily wounded upon this hill, the work of your mutants, and you shall find me no easy prey, Chaos Scum!"

"Wait, what? Chaos scum? Is that why you attacked us? We're not Chaos, the Warp just changed our armour a wee bit and gave us all the Curse of the Wulfen, which is actually kinda awesome..."

"SILENCE CHAOS SCUM" and Skullface the Ignorant sliced the Wolf Lords head from his shoulders, a cowardly act, since the Wolf Lord was busy explaining why the Ultramarines weren't supposed to have been fighting them. The ignorant Chaplain then took his ignorant Librarian back to his ignorant Chapter to be healed by ignorant healers to fight in another battle with other ignorant Ultramarines against people they shouldn't have been fighting, such as the Space Wolves, and allying with the people they should have been fighting, such as the Eldar.

The End.

Disclaimer!!! : I don't really have anything against Ultramarines, I have a few myself, and I like the books about Uriel Ventris, improbable (not to mention ignorant) as they may be. It's just when people use Chapter Traits when the Ultramarines don't use any, don't use any Drawbacks or don't tell you them, or don't tell you what traits they are using untill they need them, and then procced to use Ultramarines Special Characters when they aren't actually Ultramarines Armies, I get kinda annoyed. Especialy when your Long Fangs are a danger to themselves and other Space Wolves, but are no danger to the enemy.

I always have loved the comedic value of your battle reports brother. It's like the ethanol (You know that really dangerous fammmable liquid that you use for some tests on plants in school and when your Biology teacher says be carefull you spill on your friend and the next day he comes to school with a red rash all over his face?... Ok maybe not the best common example) in my life that actually sets me off to be bothered to read it Razz.

And in an case I agree the UltraSMurfs are ignorant, as are the people who use them *Prepares for a VERY swift exit*. Wink
