Re: Pure to the bone
How about some deepstrike terms with thunderhammers.
Or
another land raider like you say
I think with the need for troops to control stuff more PAGK is prob the best way forward.

Thunder hammers? I would say twin lightning claws myself.
AND LOTS MORE TROOPS we can never have enough.

hhmmmm i think the extra dread sounds like a plan and sit him at the back then bolster with more terms and max my troops out this should be just inside of the 1500 mark when all the bells and bits are added

Re: Pure to the bone
Nowadays you should have at least 3 Troop choices at 1500 points or you'll more than likely just be playing for draws most games.

Re: Pure to the bone
I would say stay away from the extra Dread. As Grey knights we do not wanto to serve indefinatly, we want to be by the Emperors side at the end battle.
I would either add more PAGKs, or have some fun with conversions and make some close combat Terminators.

There will always be those of us who see it a better thing to further the Emperor's worldly goals through eternal service rather than from lounging at his side
