the game was 2100 points , codex marine vs codex marine
the rules , take and hold/dawn of war

i wont go in to too many detales becaus well you ppl are probebly sick of spacemarines anyway but the experiance may help you in future 5th edition games.

as you know , dawn of war means you deploy 1 hq , 2 troops then evrything comes in reserves.

what hapend to me is i build my list hammer and anvil stile , hald static shooty , half assaulty.

what hapend is my reserves came in peacemeal and the wrong units at the wrong time.

what i should have done is totaly max out my first deploy units , with some luck you can take up a commanding position .
reserves should be mobile or defencive , teleport homers are your frend.

strategies for gray knights . hmmmm
a maxt out termi hq and 2 fat pakg would take an early lead (teleport homers are your frend)
calidus assasin could be very sick in this situation , get defending units out of cover
storm troopers in a transport could be an option
teleporting troops plus homer in advance position will bring instant doom to your opposition.

iffy , landraders as transports in a dawn of war could be a problem with skizzo reserve rules , as tanks they probebly ok.

the new missions means you got to be creative and flexible with your lists , you never know whats going to hapen

I'm kinda scratching my head about the 'reserve' rules for DoW. It clearly states that all the units not originally deployed, and not declared as 'reserves' by the player, must come on in the first turn. The line "just like units moving in from reserve" I think refers to the rules on pg. 94 for 'Arriving from reserve'. IMHO I don't think the off-board units have to be rolled for as reserves unless you declared them to be so. It just means they have to come on the board on turn 1 using the movement rules 'as if' they had been in reserve. Anybody else read this this way or am I just plumb loco?

i may have to re read the missions

note having most of your army coming in on the resrve role feels like fog of war, literaly whatever battleplan you had when out the airlock, defenetly a challenge.
