Plastic conversions for Sisters of Battle.

Post by Andarius the Red on Tue Mar 29, 2016 9:23 pm

YorkNecromancer from the Bell of Lost Souls lounge forum has posted a method to make plastic Adepta Sororitas using some kit bashing from non-GW sets. Is it tournament legal? Not really. Is it AWESOME? Very much so.

You can find the link to the forum post here: http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?52847-Non-GW-Plastic-Sisters-of-Battle&p=475852&viewfull=1#post475852

It offers a kind of shopping list of the kits and parts he used for the conversion. I like it actually, I might even try the conversion myself to make a sisters of battle army in this lull of time waiting for an update to their codex and army sets.

Nice mix !
You can also use some metal models to create original sisters... Such as sisters of sigmar from mordheim ! Wink

That's a cool find.

A good choice for people who like their models plastic, or those that want a more bulky armour look on their SoB's.

Could go with a very militaristic esthetic with their vehicles too. Using Whirlwinds in the place of Exorcists and Razorbacks in the place of Immolators. With seraphim you could get dark angels jump packs and you'd be set.

I won't disagree... However they are getting harder and HARDER to purchase. The Immolator is no longer available in the GW website and other models are either sold out or expensive, and out of date. I REALLY hope this isn't a sign that the sisters will get phased out because so far its come to people scratching kits together just to MAKE Adepta Sororitas pop up on the table top.

Yeah, the signs point towards the SoB's waning out in the ether.

Which is sad, the SoB's are cool models, great quality of sculpt and design for their time. Heck, they are still more interesting than many of the new things.

And sir Aubec, we do know your love of metal models, but you have to agree that if you have an army ONLY for gaming you don't want it a metal army.
The chipping.... although i have actually never suffered from that myself when i think of it.

Point is, plastic models take being dropped a lot better than metal.
But a metal model does have more heft to it, if you feel your opponent needs some violent and immediate purging.

Sister's of battle are underrated. I wish I could get some with longer heir or fully helmeted.
