Either one would work depending on how much conversions you want to do. Obviously, the FW GK dread already has numerous GK iconography on it so it may be easier to use.

Thats too bad; I was hopeing that the GK Dread would be a little bit bigger; at least his blades impressive!

Mythic Sweep - Rednar makes a sweeping attack in front of him and destroys his foe even before he even charges. This attack only affects the direction Rednar is facing. Measure out six inches in front of him and make a arc from the center of him from one arm to the other. All units that are hit by the arc are hit by a str 8 and no armor saves allowed. Rednar may then charge only one unit that he hits with this attack.

Well that is an idea for the Halberd special in exchange for the inval.

And just a question is the Deamonhunters dreadnought on the Forge World site larger than a regular Dreadnought, about the size of an iron-clad or is it the same size??

That sweep is wayyyyyyyyy too powerful, your basically talking about a flamer template that autohits, probably wounds on a 2+ against basically ANYTHING, doesn't allow armour saves, and would autokill any non eternal warrior multiwound creature with toughness lower than 4 (pretty much anything not monstrous).
So your looking at an instant kill template, that will kill 5/6 of the models it touches pretty much regardless of anything.

I agree that mythic sweep is of mythic proportion. That kind of attack is only seen in apocalypse from massive template weapons.

Consider that the Avatar gets the burning lance or whatever its called, that only hits one or two models.

If you want an attack like that here is what I propose:

Falcon Chop
- or something similarly epic
Used during the assault phase BEFORE charging

Use the flame template so that the wide end is in contact with [Dreadname]
All models covered automatically take a strength 5 hit with armour saves allowed. Models that are wounded but not killed strike at I1 for the duration of the turn.

If Falcon Chop is used, [Dread] does not gain a bonus attack from his charge.

Well, I don't know what to do. Maybe I should stay with the inval...
I like the Falcon Chop idea. maybe I will use that. If Primarch will allow me to use it.

Are their any other suggestions that anyone may have? Primarily for the Halberd of Might. I am out of ideas

Sure thing, just don't use the name "Falcon Chop" otherwise people wont think your serious (reference to Capt. Falcon's Falcon punch/kick)

i like these rules for an apocalypse campaign but i agree GW simplify all their rules so i think those home-made rules won't never be seen soon.
I'll be very happy if i can only see a new inquisition codex
