Which Chaos God is our nemisis?
Chaos Gods
Brothers,
Through the milenia that you have been fighting the Chaos Gods, which ones have you found to be the most challenging to return to the warp?
And which ones do you think would be the best to base your armies fluff on?

Well, too be honest, not even once have my great warriors met the foulness that is deamons!
I live in shame!
And the best too base my fluff on is probably Khorne or Tzeentch.
(You mispelled Khorne)

Re: Chaos Gods
I also have never fought a Daemon force from any of these gods. But I have encountered a Chaos force that worshipped Slaanesh and it took me 4 hours to defeat them.
So I would go with Slaanesh. Also this isn't Grey Knight only based so could a Moderator please get round to moving it? As I don't have power over this domain .

Re: Chaos Gods
All the Chaos Gods are infernal beasts that need to be purged and erased from all existence, FOR THE EMPEROR!
*Coughs* Excuse that, but I would have to say it's a toss up between Tzeentch and Khorne. Tzeentch's just so crafty, but Khorne is a bloodthirsty monster, and fighting his nearly mindless abominations is the most fun. Close combat fights are great.

Re: Chaos Gods
I regard all of the denizens of the Warp as evil spawn of the worst kind, yet they are all as dangerous as each other.
Khorne is a totally brutal and bestial horror, whose supreme might is counted on to win the day. Tzeentch is the crafty one whom I reckon needs really watching out for. Slaanesh I don't think is great against Grey Knights, for how could such incorruptible warriors fall to her/his perverted influence like a mere Guardsman? Nurgle is my favourite god because he has a sense of humour, but he's just so damn manky that going near any of his worshippers is dangerous to anyone.
However, as Khorne gains power from common emotions such as anger and revels in conflict, which has been rife for thousands of years, and always will be rife if his followers are to hand, I think he poses the greatest threat to us of the holy Knights.

I say Khorne as well. Just something about their pure brutality makes it a classic match-up for Grey Knights. I just don't get as pumped fighting Pink Horrors and four-legged seahorses.

Mmm, yes it just doesn't seem as right fighting things that look almost like cartoons when you can fight bestial monatrosities that would tear you out of your Aegis armour rather that look at youNemesisForce wrote:I say Khorne as well. I'm saying Tzeentch, for one, he can change anything(was it?) and I don't like the mutations and stuff... *shudders at thought*
Add on: Wait now that I think about it, Barrack + Tzeentch = ? I don't mean any offense, but still... *shudders at thought*
BTW, if this is offensive to anyone here, I'll eliminate the add on.

I don't get what is common with barrack and tzeentch.
Does he change alot or something?
I don't care, and probably never will care about people saying things about the american presidents.
They are all boring anyway. (And that is my personal opinion)

I wouldn't give it any thought BK.
A LOT of comments like this are amde because people don't understand that changes (real world ones ) don't just happen over night, and they feel that Barrack is not doing what he said he would. Personnally I believe he is A LOT better that Bush. I pay attention to American politics because America is the leading world power, and their decisions affect us all.
Anyways....................................................
I am thinking that Tzeentch is probhably my pick for the "most dangerous" Chaos God.
The uncomprehensible scale of his plans and schemes is.......well........uncomprehensible
Like in the first GK novel. How much planning and manipulation would it take to ensure that everything worked out exactly as planned and a relic from the vaults of Titian was brought to that particular planet etc, etc, etc
Tzeentch essentially manipulated the GKs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HERESY!!!!!!
++ Grabs burning coals from a brazzier and chews on them and then takes a botlle of holy water and gargles with it++
such things should not even be thought let alone spoken!

Re: Chaos Gods
I think I've seen the posters that your referencing King, it was a running joke in the Warhammer Online game concerning the Changer of Ways- but it was never that funny really. Being a history major I view the presidents in a different light- since you can look at someone like Lincoln; who is viewed today as a great President, and a great leader. However at the time of his presidency he was hated across the Union. Odd how these things work out huh?
ANYWHOOoooo and off the off-topic train here. I voted for Nurgle. Not only does he spread his plague far and a wide across worlds at a frightening pace, but his followers are tough as nails to push out of an area that they have already infected. I also hate nurgle since last year I had a cancer scare (fine now) which I fully blame the green bastard for ^)- (This is why I show my GM stricking one of the Greater Deamons down on a banner). So Basically I'm looking at how hard it is to eliminate the threat from an area once it's infected it- and a harder to kill force, that digs into one area plays against the GK's stregnths of hit and run tactics, leading a protracted campaign, which can eventually force additional Imperial Forces to join the fray, and risk infection as well.

I see your point, but the followers of the Lord of Decay are mostly lumbering and slow, and the greater dademons are little more that giant globs of dissected flab, which i don't think even a Plaguesword can compensate for

Yes, but emotions like anger and bloodlust, which are powerful emotions and very common, go to Khorne, and so he is classified as the most powerful. The others are not as powerful, but Tzeentch, for example, manipulates all, due to his complex and subtle mind. Slaanesh is just crap though in my mind

Slaanesh wants to have a good and bad time-at the same time...
Tzeentch controls and manipulates
Khorne is there to kill for the sake of it
Nurgle is to infect the living with plague
Well, we all damit, they are all here to mess us up one way or another...
Have I got it right?

Re: Chaos Gods
Don't underestimate slaneesh, he's the most common god in imperial nobility.
They don't wan't power, they already have that. So no tzeentzch.
They don't really bloodlust, so not khorne either.
They don't really have reasons to despair, and since nurgle is the god of despair, nope.
Slaneesh on the other hand, the god of emotions in unhealthy levels, theres something that hive nobility want.

There could be a case for Tzeentch being most dangerous. He's the least predictable of all the gods and therefore much harder to figure out and fight. At least with gods like Khorne you know where you stand.

Since i play Tzeentch, AP 3 bolters all the way. I would say that is the hardest due to invals all over the place. Especially on the Thousand Sons which is 4+.
I played my Chaos against Grey Knights and lost tremendously. I did hold my own until the terminators came in.
I have righted my wrongs and saw the light and started the Grey Knights.
They were originally my first choice but cash was the problem.
