New Years GK Resolutions.

Now that the dust/glitter is settling after Xmas/New Years I thought I would take this opportunity to check on and see what you are all planning on adding/finishing/painting/building, Etc... for your GKs in 2015.

Personally I would like to be able to finish building my NDK/Dread, and  get some paint on my GK Terminator command squad.
Feel free to share what you would like to get done this year, and perhaps this little bit of accountability will be what you need to complete that last Terminator squad, finish building you LR Redeemer, or paint OSL for the first time.

Unassembled: Landraider, 3 Rhinos, 25 PAGK, 4 Assassins, 4 Crusaders, Brother Captain Stern, 4 Death Cult Assassins.

Unpainted: Corteaz, Dreadknight, Dreadnought, and various bits of weaponry.

Repaint: Stormraven

I've been debating about discontinuing my use of a pure Grey Knights lists and adding an allied detachment this year to my army. But which army!? I was cosidering Astra Militarum for their tanks and flyers.

But my main focus this year would be complete all of the Grey Knights models mentioned above first before purchasing any more models.

Wow! You are very adventurous in your goal setting Brother! I love it!!! What will you tackle first? I find that prioritizing can help. I am starting off by focusing my attentions on the dread knight first....

I often say that I will not buy any more models, start new projects, or begin painting a new model before I finish what I have started. But for some reason I am never able to do it!!!

I need to add paint my LR to my list of goals too!!!

Well, I definitely can't buy more models. I have to be disciplined about this, lol!

I've recently assembled 15 PAGK (combined glued and magnetized). Twenty-five more to go! Of the 40 PAGK, I'm making 20 models Strike Squad/Interceptors, so I'm magnetizing the backpacks. I'm gluing on swords to keep them as cheap as possible and use them mainly for scoring and fodder. However, I am magnetizing the special weapons, as well as the Justicar's weapons for flexibility.

I've used these bases on all my Grey Knights models and needed to order a few more.

I plan on completing all my PAGK first before moving onto the vehicles. Of the remaining 20 unassembled PAGK, I plan on making 10 of them Purifiers. I'm going to splurged and give six of the Purifiers falchions and the other four special weapons. This leaves 10 models undecided. I honestly don't know what to do with them. I'm up for suggestions.

If i do anything i will be pleased.

But if i would add a specific goal i'd say finish my puppy (warhound)
Not that i think i will, but one can hope non the less.

Maybe get some terminators, an inquisitor(Any builds suggestions?) along with painting my kasrkin(as stormtroopers).

Is money goes well I'll buy a baneblade.

I can only imagine what you have planned for when you are back in the swing of things!!!

I'm looking forward to finishing my BA army, that meas 3 full tac squads, 20 sang guard, 10 termies, 30 Assault marines, 10 Vang Vets, and finishing painting 5 drop pods, 4 predators, and 3 land speeders... When I look back it's a lot I need to finish them....

You can do it. Be true to yourself.

I am surprising myself with how much I am able to get done on my NDK conversion/build. This oils be a very good year.

I completed part of my resolution.

Forty PAGK:

Twenty Strike Squad models
Ten Interceptor Squad models
Ten Purifier models

I will take this opportunity to set some thread rules. Only post pics of completed resolutions, not WIPs.
So, the above pic is good because building the models was the goal. If you want to do WIPs, start a thread in the appropriate area.

This is the pure GK section Brother. I respectfully ask that we not discuss other chapters here. You are more than welcome to start a WIP thread with your BA in the painting and modelling sections. I would love to see more.

Did everyone see their 2015 resolutions through? Any new ones for 2016? My pure gk army has been complete for awhile, but a buddy gave me a spare terminator he had so i need to paint that up. I still have my assassins i need to paint, but those don't count as grey knights. I also need to redo the bases on my dreadknights and add a dice holder in them.

build and paint GK units you never use... like 500 points in 2 months and then make a different list (without DKs ... i saw your other thread ! ) and finally play it ... it's what i took for new year's resolution !

I generally suck at all of those.

I can't count how many models i have yet to paint or even build !
If this year i can finish my 1000 points full GK army with as many old models as possible... I would be Happy !
But first i need to go and see an ophtalmologist because my eyes are letting me down... The elderness you know !

Sounds like you should invest in some prime cybernetic replacements.
Just imagine 50x zoom and being able to take photos

Zeiss lenses would be awesome just like on the Cyberpunk RPG !
